Reducing the cap volume???

Is anyone reducing the airspace in their rba's? I have a AGA-t and a UD AGI. I'm looking to try this on both.

I've seen a store that sells caps with smaller air space but they cost as much as a new rba. I need to find a way to do this.

A piece of delrin should work. If you don't have any on hand, I think you could even make it out of some cork or hardwood.

It is the only solution I have found. Reduce the cap volume period. Most of the other is bull, as an Aero Eng and some knowledge in aerodynamics all that talk of vortex, turbulence, and passing the air past the coil multiple times, physically impossible. A couple of years ago we did wind tunnel tests by drawing smoke thru the cap air hole while having a vacuum on the mouth piece equivalent to a normal draw. No matter how we aimed the smoke using a needle, putting vanes in the cap, different positions of the air inlet, including under the coil. We used needles and slots of many shapes and sizes. Conclusion, we never got any rotation "vortex". Needless to say we used a transparent, cap

I'm finding that the flavor was better in my did clone than my AGA-T and AGI. The only thing different I can figure is the smaller cap with the did clone. I have to rig something up to try this. I will try whats in your picture.

I bought a 7/8"x12" delrin rod and grinded and cut them to fit. The flavor is much better with these.

Dito. I have used cotton and folded paper to take up AGA-T air space; have yet to match vape quality of did clone. Maybe I'll try your delrin approach one day.
