I got my AGI today. Very nice quality. I'm impressed with the materials. Heck, even the screws are SS. The only flaw is that the posts are closer than I'd like. Low and behold the negative post swivels. I was able to make a longer coil this way. I used the tank. I made 3 wicks and inserted them all. The wicking sucks this way. I pulled them out and coiled them. Now my wick rests on the top plate. Stays wet now. When it starts to taste dry, I just tilt it a little. The air hole was a little tight, so I opened a little more. Vapor is plentiful, but it's all in the wire, not the device. As for using SS mesh. I'm not gonna waste my time. The center post is too short imo. All in all, do I think it's worth 40 bucks. Yes, because of the materials, and pretty good craftsmanship.

One thing that drove me nuts, the 510 connector is too long. I fixed that problem with a SS washer. I filed the hole out to fit with a trusty chainsaw file. Then I sanded the entire washer slowly until I got contact. Now this atty fits straight with more strength.

I only use mine as a dripper, and i notice yours is in genesis mode. Are you using silica wick for that setup? i've always been curiuos to try silica in a genny lol

I used three 3 mm wicks, and just wrapped the wick on the top plate. I leave all three wick holes open. I tilt the atty to deliver the juice. The excess just falls back in the tank. I've been loving this tank setup all weekend. The only atty that I could get to wick with silica, is the DID, because the wick plate is much thinner.

I used silica in the AGA-T2 and more recently the RSST. Just make sure you at least double it up, or make a U-wick if you have the wick holes. Make your wick and coil as short as possible to keep it low near the deck, and make sure it's drawing liquid all the way to the top of the wick and you're fine. Requires a bit of tilting, but so do most genny setups.

Here is an AGI next to an AGA-T2.

SS mesh wick. Runs very well. Have not tried it in dripper mode yet... to be honest not sure I even will since I prefer my drippers with a vertical mesh wick, and this doesn't seem like it would lend itself to that setup.

Not all that crazy about the tiny Allen key required to open the fill hole... it means another tool to carry in my vape kit (along with tweezers, screwdriver, toothpick, mascara wand). I do like that the centre post has an actual screw instead of the tiny nuts :)ohmy:). But overall it looks slick and vapes wonderfully.

Free vela for the first person to show me a "non photoshoped" air hole on the cap for this RBA.

No photoshop involved in this pic of mine.....

Great vape so far, just got it working good tonight, it's my first rebuildable genny and so far I really like it. I used the coil wire that came with it and some cheesecloth for the wick. Kind of a pain to wick but I'll get better at it as I learn more. Overall I am happy with my purchase. Got it from DV.... and it was the last one Eric had in stock but he's getting more.

Not impressed with this as a genny but the looks are awesome. Decided to test my voltage drop under load with this on my paps and thought I had a short because I was seeing over a one volt drop. When I took it apart there was no short but the spring from the 510 post was obviously heating up and is now black.

I took apart my aga t2 to see if the center post would fit this but the aga post is to skinny and long to use without modding.

Also the cap does not fit on an aga

I will only use this for dripping

I agree with everything you have said here. The spring post idea is ridiculous, of course, massive voltage drop. The Cap on mine does not fit the other AGAs either. I don't like it at all and I will be giving it away locally to someone who may like dripping atties. Waste of money in my opinion.

A plus of this device that I hadn't thought of before: the top plate unscrews in situ, so there is no need for a pipette/syringe/screwdriver to fill it. Also means you don't need to dismantle the wick/coil to clean it. Handy for coil-challenged folks like myself.;)

I'm happy with the AGI in dripper mode, but I'm concerned about that spring in genny mode. Some people have said that they've set it up as a dripper and use it with the tank, swishing the mod back to get the wick wet. Anyone here doing that? Does that actually work well?
Yes. it works very good this way.
