Refilling cartos

I've read quite a bit on refilling cartos, admittedly not all of them. I've watched the video and read Taryn's method. In what reading I did I didnt see any mention of using a syringe. Is there a reason you can't use one? I"m sure I missed it (been up since early Saturday morning). If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

hi jules, yes you can use a syringe. i just think it wasn't on anyones mind or something. until a few days ago, i can't remember exactly when but i saw a thread on it. i will try to find it for you and get back to ya

When refilling, what's the point, besides stopping some juice, of the clear rubber o-ring? Lately, I've been taking it out and leaving it out when the refilled cart is reassembled. Seem to get a bit lighter draw and more vapor without it. Perhaps it's my imagination... is there a definitive reason to need the o-ring? Does anyone else leave it out?

i have never left out the rubber o-ring, it acts like a stopper to the juice to limit the amount of leakage into your mouth. i usually don't get any in my mouth and don't really want to chance it much either. it's not that big of deal to reinsert it.

Sure, the juice in the mouth risk is a concern; however, I have yet to get any juice in the mouth. Never. None. And it's not a question of the ease of reinserting: it's a question of, besides the juice in the mouth concern (which again is not a concern because it hasn't happened), why does it NEED to be reinserted?

you could be right, why bother? why is it there to begin with? who knows? just decide for yourself and and do what you want i suppose. to me it's no big deal...

There are people who change out the white caps for a whistle tip and leave out the oring. There is nothing wrong with leaving it out if it works for you, I tend to draw hard sometimes and get juice so I'll keep that little stopper in.

i've syringe filled a few times, but when i fill with the video-method that's pinned here, it's a chance i can use to get the liquid out of the o-ring and cap and stuff, clean it up and all. i'm also afraid with the syringe method, since i can't see what i'm doing since the syringe goes down the hole, that i'm going to fill that center ring that shouldn't have liquid in, or i'm going to puncture that rubber ring, etc etc. i'm sure with practice it becomes easier.

Just because you're using a syringe, doesn't mean you have to leave the cap & silicone ring in place.

I think I can use a combination of the video for refilling and a syringe and make it work. Thanks bunches everyone!!!

I'm sure it will work great Jules, they aren't difficult to refill and people prefer lots of different ways to go about it!

Would it matter which end you use the syringe with? I've recently been playing around with some cartomizers. I've just dripped a few drops into the hole on the battery connection side to refill.
