Very good pics panda...thanks. I can see where the carto burned through. If you can apply voltage to it the way it is now, you should see the coil turn red hot...that would also be a great pic to see...
I assume that's a V4L cartomizer? The reason I ask is because the one I took a part didn't quite look the same. Maybe it's Steve's ongoing improvements.

I've noticed in a few of my cartos that the cotton or whatever around the outside is turning dark, like brown or something. Is that normal? I don't know if I should toss them or what, but I felt I was being careful not to dry them out too much.
Another thing - I can never get 16 drops in my cartos. I get maybe 10-14 at the most before it overflows into the middle. I have set them aside for a couple minutes to try to let it soak in to add more, but it did little good.

It could be burning, but I suspect that it dried juice. Try washing it out really good. It should brighten back up. May also need to use more than hot water ex. vodka or everclear.
That's if you really want to rescue that cart.
