Common Cartomizer Questions?????

Monkey Arms great questions. i figured i have questions on this as well so i am not hijacking your Thread. Please do not think i am.
Taryn i know you invented the refilling trick and its great i use it many times a day but i have to put the bottom condom on or my cart drips thru the bottom. but others say theirs dont leak. am i doing something wrong. The method works great and thank you for telling us this.
when i first started taryns refilling the first 2 carts leaked thru cause i didnt put the .... and condom on so after those 2 times i put them on the bottom.
another question and i am sorry if it is stupid but this happenned to me last nite and i am lost why it happ. Why do some cartos get very hot? i understand i vape heavily and maybe thats why but last nite i was vaping my VK and then my battery needed to be charged so i grabbed a greencig battery and screwed it on the VK carto and while i was vaping it got hot. very hot, then too hot to even touch. I quickly unscrewed the greencig battery. anyway i looked at my VK carto and the vinyl paper on the cart looked like it melted so i took it apart. the inside was all burnt and the atty wires were all frayed. Do cartos go bad? Is this cause i used a gc battery on a VK cart?

1. How many Cartomizers a day are you going through?

With my refill strategy, i.e. refill early and often, I can't really say. I'd guess that I'm vaping 2-3ml per day, so about 3 cartos worth.

2. How many times are you refilling your cartomizers?

Again, since I refill before I need to, it might be inflated, but I traditionally refill until I can't anymore. 3 is a minimum, and I usually get about 10 before the carto looks pretty beat up. If I wanted to I could probably get a few more refills out of those, but heck, they are disposable after all.

3. How many times do you use & refill cartomizers before rinsing in water?

I only rinse on a flavor switch, so most cartos only get rinsed once.

I've never used the GC batts, but most of my vaping is on a PT. I highly suggest that you rotate cartos very frequently. I only take 3-4 draws usually before I'll switch cartos. Getting them too hot, as you discovered, can kill them. I like to think that keeping them cooler also extends the life of the carto.

Johnny Vapor Thanks for the info. i didnt know you had to rotate cartos. Man i will put a cart on 1 battery and a cart on another battery and just vape them both all day. but i do vae heavy. i may take 10 vapes at a time. holy moly i didnt know you cant do that. been doing it this way for 2 months and it never got hot beforewell it got warm and kinda hot but not too hot to touch like last nite. so i will have to roate from now on

Ahh sorry, the flat part on the end of the cartomizer in my signature. It's an 801 soft whistle tip I just stick on over the end rather than the white mouthpiece thing they come with.

What adapter do you use on the Chuck to put the cartos on there. Also where can I get one of those tips?
