Well, here I had thought I went off in the wrong direction and changed the whole post thinking I was off base. If you're not inhaling smoke, and don't intend to in the future, you're not a smoker. That pretty much sums it up right there. If that is your intent, excellent, you should be proud of yourself! If not, excellent anyways!

I, and, as evidenced by these forums, many others, enjoy vaping and have no intent to ever stop. I've lowered by nic level over time from 18 to 6, not to quit, but because my equipment got better and my tolerance went down. I never intended to quit smoking, but I was let down by my brand (bad QC), it was giving me migraines, and I was sick of the gov't in my pocket all the time. I vaped, I liked it, and decided I wasn't going to smoke anymore. I got excited that I wasn't smoking anymore, and that excitement is what keeps me from smoking again.

Because I don't smoke anymore, I feel better, I smell better, and now that the shinyitis is wearing off, have more money. I'm proud of that. Nothing anyone can say will change those things.

True, but only if you devote enough energy to actually paying attention to what they're saying. Instead, focus your energy on ignoring the ignorant and you'll find that life starts to become much more enjoyable.

I make my living by working with the stupid (tech support). I try to educate and enlighten, but rarely am I speaking with someone intelligent enough to learn the lesson (both at work and with vaping).
I too get fed up with stupid. I vape so they can live. Until natural selection steps up its game, there is nothing that can be done.

The only time I have caved to pressure was on a recent trip to Prague. A lady friend bartender at my local in Prague was quite upset when I sat down at the bar with a pack of freshly bought cigarettes and was about to light one up. She made a sad face. Now she is a smoker, but she was so proud of me for vaping. Last cigarette I had was this past July, when I had a few,also on holiday in Prague. I never lit that cigarette, and we had a wonderful night together after her shift was over... The moral of the story is to only give in to pressure when beautiful 21 year old blonde Czech women are involved...
