Most juice i have sampled even in B&M's have nic in the juice premixed , i do know some places add nic after but i don't like that idea.
Nor do I. To easy to mess up that way. If someone has a lot going on at the time. But I know they do that with House Juice in the shop I like a lot. But the man who does it really knows what he is doing.

In the vape shop nearest (~30 miles..) me, the 'taste-tester' juices are all 0 nic. In fact, according to the owner/operater of that shop, 0 nic juice is the only liquid that can be vaped in that shop, and only that 'taste-test' juice, and only with the 650mah CE4 pens that are there.. I don't remember whether he said it was a state law, or a town law.

Some Nic is very pure, even to the point it has little throat hit and many prefer different.
Some Nic has a bit of a Tobacco leaf taste - a bit off putting for many.
Some Nic has a heaver peppery taste - enjoyed by those looking for a strong throat hit.
Most nic is in the middle with a light peppery hint, decent Nic kick and no nasty notes.

From my DIY, all nic has an effect on Flavoring. Some less than others, but all do.

Then again, a lot is personal perception

I've got nicotine here from eliquidmart.com that tastes and smells like bug spray. It has a very strong chemical taste. It definitely changes the taste of eliquid for the worse. I of course don't use it and the only reason I hang on to it is maybe one day eliquidmart.com will decide to answer my emails and take this garbage back. If not I'll use it to kill ants with this summer.

I agree with those saying the addition of nic can change the flavor, sometimes considerably. Only having shops that have 0 nic for tasting, I soon learned to buy that first bottle with nic in 10ml bottles, if not smaller. Not only the change from the addition of nic, but using it continuously over a longer period of time can change my opinion on how much I like a certain flavor.

I agree nic can alter the flavour and quite dramatically. I was used to and enjoyed Space Jam's Eclipse at 12 strength.

When my wife broke her arm in Spain a couple of weeks ago and we decided to come back to the UK until she's better I dropped into the Vape Shop in Fuengirola and grabbed two 30 mil bottles of Eclipse - but in case I couldn't get out much back in Scotland opted for 18 strength.

I broke the seal on a new bottle as soon as we got out of Newcastle Airport, filled my tank...and gagged on the stuff. It had a back taste like burned rubber laced with mixed pepper and all the delicate flavour notes had disappeared.
