All over the place
I'm just very happy to be full time vaping and quiting other nasty problems thanks to vaping. Soon to try dripping but I am learning something from you to night mr Mann just because its cool to some why let them rent space in my head. My system works for me. I don't need rba to look cool or a 125 buck tank that's almost another provari rather have that to be honest.

I got caught up in chasing all the coolest doodads and such--what happened was an anemic bank account and new devices sitting on my desk. Oh, what also happened was a hell of a lot of wasted time to see huge clouds coming out of my mouth with little to no actual flavor from my favorite juice. Performance is cool, blowing big clouds is awesome, but sometimes you just want to enjoy the flavor of your favorite juice! It's not a competition thing for me--big clouds, cool looking set-ups, time invested, or amount of money spent--it's an activity that needs to be practical and not so damn time consuming that more hours out of my day is spent trying to learn how to make my habit actually fun. It's just not that damn serious for me! Vaping was not supposed to overtake my life, it's supposed to work with it. I am an artist and an aspiring musician, I think it is personally goofy for me to spend more time rebuilding my freakin' device than painting or playing my bass. Oh, and being a dad trumps all of that!<---------{{{- END rant.

Didn't get much response on the "main land" so I will gear this question toward the Island of the Misfit Drippers. :) Some of you may have read my goof of ordering a new 306 instead of a 510 atty. (510 is what i have been dripping on since i started) Never used a 306 before- 1 of the responders encouraged me to keep it, so I took the leap. Now I really like it- lots to love about it. I am, however, already sick of wearing juice and wiping down my Puck. Sooooo....how do I fix this issue? Is an adapter and a drip shield my only hope? (I really hope not since I only had enough moolah for a few atties then my vape budget was dead for awhile!)

306 atties don't "store" as much juice as the 510, so you may be putting in too much (I drip 3 drops on a 306 vs 4-6 in a 510. I definitely like the 306 DCA from GoodSenseVapors for preventing leakage, but you may find just dripping less solves it for you.

I came from using a debridged 510, and carried my 2-3 drop maximum habit over to using this, so I don't think that is the issue, but maybe I am jumping the gun on adding more, thereby over-dripping :)

The DCA looks very cool- definitely not in my price range right now...my budget is pretty much zapped like I said :) ("No kids, no dinner tonight...but lookit momma's pretty vaper toy!!") lol

A drip shield for a 306 doesn't have to be one from Empire Mods and it shouldn't cost you more than a few bucks. All you'll need is a 306 with a 510 to 510 adapter and an XL306 drip tip. Total cost shouldn't run more than $15. Maybe that is too much, and I can understand, but keep it in mind if you are liking the 306 experience. I had the same issue as you and had to adjust my dripping and draw time length.

That very well could be it. That was an issue for me, adding drops too soon, which is okay for a lot of atties but if you get one prone to leaking the new drops will force what's in it out. Drip shields save the day for that, since I prefer to add drops when the flavor just barely starts to diminish instead of waiting until it's almost gonna be a dry hit.

Thank you! I am already noticing a big difference in leakage being careful how often I drip, and that will hold me off nicely until I can get a shield and adapter.

Vaping saved ;-)

Since as a rule I tend to over-drip, I went through a LOT less paper towels once I got a shield.

One atty that I had a love/hate thing going on with is a Cannon from Ikenvape. That thing leaked so bad, any juice added before it was completely dry would just leak right out, and it's too big to use a shield with. The taste was amazing for the first couple vapes after dripping, then it would fade. Problem was, that thing was so effecient with juice it would take forEVER to dry out enough to drip without leaking. Sooo.. 2 or 3 amazing vapes and then a dozen or so mediocre vapes. I had no patience for that, so wiped up about as much juice as I vaped.

I really want to love the IKV Cannon, but for me it was way too finicky. I only used one, so it might have just been a goofy atty. I have another sitting around so I may break it out and try again.

I had to re-read that one a few times- I thought you were talking about a cannon drip-tip...and I was super confused lol. I haven heard of a cannon atty...I think I live in a cave sometimes ;-)

I think I am going to be fashioning a new drip-tip for this 306. I don't know if it's a crappy tip, naturally an issue, or because I use 100%-ish VG, but getting the juice inside without creating an air bubble that holds the juice at the top of the drip tip is a learning experience in itself :) I have learned not to blow in it, whatever I do, because no matter how careful I am I get shot in the face with juice!! That'll p!$$ ya off lol

Yep just one for me too. I guess some revisions were done to help with the leaking, but read it was still finicky in other ways. Even though I mostly just use dripping RBAs now, I may pick up another Cannon one day for times I want the almost non-existant throat-hit in exchanges for huge vapor and flavor. That atty's so big that if the leak issue is fixed it would hold about as much as some of my drippers.

I didn't like any of the drip tips I had for the 306, yet another reason I had given up on 306s completely. It's just so much easier be able to easily remove the tip to drip like with 510s and 901s. Unless you really prefer the vape of a 306, I say drop it like a bad habit.

Nah- it would be much more fun to see what I can create on my own :) plus I need it for my puck- it's my only 3.0 ohm. I have already destroyed several small items in my house to see what I can come up with lol

I tried a tube of a 510 atty I had taken apart so I could use it like a 510(I keep random ecig parts for such ideas). The tube was too big. I probably could have gotten it to work but gave up on it quickly. Good luck on your quest!
