No matter what else I try, I end up dripping 95% of the time.
I started with an eGo-T. Within a month I had also bought a 510 kit, SR Boge cartos, LR Boge cartos, and finally SR 306 atties. At that point, I was in love! I dripped on SR 306 atties exclusively for the next 6 months.
Then I got a couple of bad batches of atties, from more than one source. From one source they were too airy and spongy. From another source they were only good for a couple of puffs before they got very hot without warning. Out of frustration, I started looking around for alternatives and tried all kinds of new stuff. I should have just tried ordered my 306s from other vendors instead.
I did learn a lot during that time. And, most of what I bought is still somewhat useful. The best thing I found during that search is the 510-t atty. It's comparable to the 306 in quality (to me anyway). And, it's a lot easier to drip with since it takes a 'normal' drip-tip.
All the rest is useful for when it's too inconvenient to drip or just for a little variety now and then.
I would be perfectly happy with what I have if only I were better at cleaning my atties. I used to change out and clean atties at least every other day. I've gotten lazy. If I run hot water
through them and soak them briefly in alcohol every other day, they stay fairly ungunked (as long as I'm careful with what juices I use).
I've been letting my atties get gunked up and am now trying to ungunk them. I've just started using denture cleaner. It seems to be helping, I think.
I've never understood about dry-burning. I don't understand how you can see whether or not the coil is looking any certain way. How can you see the coil unless you have a de-bridged atty? Is there something I'm not understanding?
