Sometimes even when you think they're dry, they're not. I'd let them sit for awhile--like, a lot longer and just let them be. They may be dead though.

Thanks Mr.Mann, I really appreciate all of the tips on this thread. I've got the hang of dripping thanks to all of you guys, but the cleaning part is throwing me off! :D

Honestly, if and when I do clean my attys, I use want2vapes atty refresher and it works like a charm! It's probably overpriced, but I was lucky to come into 60 mL of it for nothing. All it is (probably) is ethanol and PG. Don't quote me on that, but either which way, it works fantastically. Most of the time though, when my atty dies, I let it.

I think I'll start doing what a lot of you do and mostly just drip new juice on top of old. Then enjoy the unique combinations and wait for the flavor of the new juice to peek through on it's own. Or maybe vape some unflavored in between so that I can test out all of these new flavors I have without feeling like I need to blow out and clean the attys in between each new one to get an idea of their true taste.

Well a blow-out is as normal to me as dripping itself. Yes, blow the atty out when making large flavor jumps. I don't actualy consider blowing the atty out the same as "cleaning it"--it's more like, I dunno, part of vaping?! LOL. I will refresh my atty only if the performance diminishes or I accidentally used a flavor that refuses to leave the wick.

I'll throw in my 2 cents about cleaning, although I don't consider myself all that experienced since i don't experiment much. I use SR 510 attys. I only clean them when they act like they are going to die (and that seems to be after 2-3 months of use). I use mostly clear or faintly colored liquids.
I use a denture tablet. just let them soak awhile, then rinse in hot water. then I blow them out and let them sit overnite. you would be surprised how much liquid comes out when i blow them out.

Have a little frustration with my 901 atty. Never used one before, and I really like the draw and flavor on it, however it seems that if I let it sit for a while, no matter how much liquid is in it or in the drip shield I'll get a dry hit unless I do a few vigorous dry pulls. Is this just a 901 trait or am I doing something wrong? Also, do you blow your atties out from the connection side or the top side?

Digital Ciggz has the 510 atomizers back in stock! A bit annoying that you have to add them to the cart one at a time, but glad to be able to get them at such a wonderful price.

Yeah, I called them last week. They weren't even going to put them back on the site, but I convinced them that even though people are "moving into rebuildables" (their words), people would buy these up even more considering the price is by far the cheapest there. I should point out that once that stock is gone I do not think they're replenishing. Get 'em while you can because everywhere else still has them for about $7+ per atty.

Ah, Mann, I should have guessed that we have you to thank for this largesse.

I'm sorely tempted to buy 10 or 15 of this presumably last batch, but I've got 37 of them already, so I don't know whether I'll pull the trigger or not. Still, everyone who takes advantage of this great deal owes you a debt of gratitude.

EDIT: Well, I popped for 15 more. Between my large stash of clearos and rebuildables, I don't technically need more of these (I drip mainly to sample new juices and DIY concoctions), but I doubt that I'll regret having them in the long run.

They only had a couple hundred left. This will be my last purchase of Joyetech 510 2.2Ω attys. :( I have decided to move on for 1) it's time, and 2) while what I have should last me a long time, it won't last a lifetime if that's all I use. I will NEVER buy another Joyetech atty for regular prices. Ever. And I don't see any other vendor selling them for these prices.

I will use my Joye attys to vape my plethora of high nic liquids, but after I get into other JDSs, I will dip my toe in the less-nicotine concentrated waters of eliquids.

I sprang for more myself. I need them like I need a hole in the head but I can't pass it up! I've tried other vape methods...all the way from T2s to Kayfuns...and I still prefer my 510 attys. Just slap 'em on and drip and vape! LOVE THEM! The taste and the heat and the ceremonial act of dripping...and they were CHROME...I didn't have chrome ones.

Thanks Mr. Mann for all you do for the vape community!

;)

Well, I don't know what I do, but I do what I can. ;) Oh yeah, I LOVE that the last ones are chrome! How many did you pick up?
