So, Mr.M, tell me:

As I sit here at my desk with 40 PVs/APVs/Mechanicals/eGos/VVs/VWs/bottom-feeders all loaded and ready with every kind of JDS from atties to cartos to clearos to tanks to rebuildables (plus another set of 40 more units at my bedside), letting me choose instantly from a plethora of different juices---from NETs to bakery sweets to fruits in every possible combination, am I to understand that your total inventory of vaping gear consists of a single PV---a ProVari---which you use exclusively by manually atty-dripping into joyetech 510SRs, and that you don't vape any juices that might gunk up coils or contain ingredients that are potentially harmful as inhalants?

If so, that makes you the ascetic Dalai Lama of vaping, and I guess it leaves me as the Caligula of vaping. LOL.

I have only just talked the dh into letting me get the I taste vv's because I got them for half price....

Actually, I have more than 120 PVs, with 80 of those in service at any time.

What can I say? This is my hobby. I'm an old semi-retired fart with no wife or kids to put through college, and vaping is the only thing I spend money on frivolously. The rest of my life is very frugal.

There are people on ECF who own every device or piece of hardware ever made and make me look like a rank amateur.

Well God bless ya then.
....perhaps you can answer the questions I tried to ask a couple of days ago.

I have a couple of kidney puncher long barreled sealed atomizers for dripping. One at 1.5 ohms and one at 2.0. I interchangeably use them on my 650mah fake ego. The question is.. .
Is it worth it to get the 510-510 extender/connector and drip shield? Would it be less messy and would I be able to do more than 2-3 drips at a time? Could they have put the hole a smidge higher and eliminated my need for the aforementioned equipment?

I often uncertain that others' experience in vaping is close enough to mine to follow advice or suggestions offered in posts.

If I were in your situation, I'd probably just buy the connector and drip shield and find out if they make a difference. That may or may not be a viable option for you, so I'll offer my own (uninformed) opinion: Your plan sounds logical, but somehow I doubt that an extender and drip shield will solve your problem, or conversely, they'll solve one problem and create another (what I don't know, but that's often what happens with "solutions"). Now, please ignore my advice and do whatever makes most sense to you.

Yes, sir, you are correct.

So I guess I'm halfway between the Dalai Lama and Caligula? Keith Richards?

My HH.357's are still hitting great. No leaking at all (mostly 50/50 juice)! I am very impressed. I can't quite say if the vape has improved or anything, but it was fine from the very beginning so I really have no complaints. It does seem to get pretty hot if you hit it a lot like anything else but it seems to get there slower. I get SLIGHT spitting with one of them where I feel little flecks of hot juice on my tongue but it's not bad enough to bother me. How often should I clean these to keep them in optimal condition? Should I clean them in an ultrasonic cleaner? These atties are definitely pricey but if they hit this well for a long time then it will be worth it.

I'm a fairly new vapor who has tried a few clearos, Iclear's, Aspire, Kanger. Bottom and top coil. I thought they were alright, but I would get wicking issues constantly. Never really had a huge problem with leaking but if they weren't hitting dry, they were flooding. Now well I do have a KFL+ Clone coming, I also ordered before that an Aurora BFT and a KP Long Barrel 2ohm(which reads at 1.7ohm? o_O).

This thing is great, lots of flavor and vapor. Dripping atomizers are certainly not dead. It's been a much more enjoyable experience than my clearos. Also I can finally try this Boba's Bounty(100%VG) that people rave over(Tried using it on my Aspire BDC and it just dry hit 8 out of 10 hits. verdict: eh, it's alright.). I think I've found my home. These things are cheap and seem to work great. Only downside is now I have a bit of a bug to try some other dripping atomizers, and I need to order about 10 more of these KP's.

Cheers everyone!

I'm not familiar with KP. Where does it come from?

Yeah those are the atomizers I have. I like them, I'm not sure if they are a good atomizer as I'm fairly new but they work ok for me. I may pick up an hh 357 or stingray to see how those work. I'd be more than thankful for any other suggestions. :)

If you look back through this thread you'll get a lot of ideas. A good starting point is Empire Mods. They sell a very nice 510 atty for $5.99 -- including a new long-barrel version. Other popular atties include those sold by Avidvaper, Vapage, Ikenvape and Joye.

Does anyone know of any deals like Digitalcigz? They have been sold out for awhile now. Killer deal though. =(

Oh and the Stingray is absolutely amazing. One of my favorites. Sealed too, which I like very much.

Nope! Unfortunately, I have never seen a deal quite like that for any worthwhile attys; hell, I haven't seen deals like that for less-than-worthwhile attys.

If anyone is still checking back on this thread, I have a question about cleaning atomizers. I soaked them in gin (no vodka here), rinsed them in hot water, and dried them for more than 24 hours. When I tried to use them this evening, I didn't get any vapor. Is it that there's still water in them and continuing to vape on them will finish drying it out and the vapor will come? I tried dry burning one of them, has a bit of a burnt taste now, so I think I need to rinse that one again to see if I ruined it or not. Thanks for any help!

Unless they somehow died during this process, yes, that is most likely the issue.

This would be my guess...

Soaking them in alcohol didn't really clean them much, as it probably didn't do anything to the baked on gunk.
When you dry burned them a little, you were now really starting to burn that gunk off.

You may not have dry burned them enough to clean all the gunk off, and now you're tasting burnt gunk.
Or maybe you did not rinse the ashes out properly after dry burning the gunk off.

Or maybe both.

When I clean my atomizers, this is how I do it...
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/69834-my-atty-resurrection-method.html

I view soaking atomizers in alcohol as more of a preventative measure if done frequently.
I'm not really convinced that it helps that much, but others whom I respect seem to think it does.

Thank you DC2! It "sounds" like they're still working, just a lot of spitting and no vapor.
