Vapage is having one of their occasional 50% off atty sales. That makes their wonderful 510 atties just $4.50 each. ONLY available at their new website: shop.vapage.com with coupon code HS22G
Just wanted to say, I got my 2 HH.357 atty's today, long barrel at 2.0 ohms. They look standard size though... unless the "long" barrel IS standard size and the regular is shorter? Not sure... but either way, I blew out the primer and put some liquid in and dripped it right away. Hits like a dream! I don't see what the fuss is about with the break in time. They are working fine right now, only thing I guess it will get better??
Nope, I didn't choose the custom one, just picked the standard long barrel. I'm vaping it at 4.2 right now, huge clouds and amazing flavor. Wish they were cheaper, I'd definitely pick up more!

It's been awhile for me, but I am pretty sure that the Halo equipment is generally 808 threaded/oriented.510's seem to be the most popular on this thread. So, if the Halo batteries won't work, which battery would you choose?

So you would need an 808/510 adapter, or just get some different batteries.
You can get some 510 batteries, but I would strongly suggest an Ego Twist battery.
Thanks DC2. What size atomizer does the Ego Twist take?
A 510 atty will be great on a Twist.
How is the heat? I think the custom ratio HHs were designed to cut back on what problems I ran into--the spitting. I think, with a long barrel and a custom filler I should be straight, but I don't like cool vaper. I am sure the increase in voltage should compensate, as long as it isn't so high as to cook. I would want to get one for my all VG liquids and my other blends (50/50), but that's 2xHHs and at $50, I am right back to cringing at the cost. I just need to get my ecig funds back in the black first.
None of my HH.357s are spitty but I'm wondering if the 70PG/30VG mix I use might have something to do with that? If VG has more difficulty in holding the flavors in suspension higher VG juices would be more likely to cause spitting, much like not patting food dry before dropping it in hot fat causes spitting.
It would be an additional cost but a donut or helix Trippy Tip would prevent any hot liquid from a spitty atty from going into your mouth. I've seen people post pictures of short ones from people who strongly prefer warm vapes.
I picked up a couple of long barrel HH.357s in my last order. I'm thinking that you probably would not care for them if you are wanting a warmer vape. Try using a longer drip tip versus a shorter one on a standard length atty without a bridge. That will pretty much tell the tale.
...I got the smallest donut glass drip tip Sagewood has ever made. It was from an exchange with Sagewood about customizing and though it was difficult, they managed to make me a donut glass tip that is barely bigger than a ming. I wanted something that got me as close to the heat as possible but that wouldn't allow for spitting from my short barrel HH; this is what we came up with.
Those guys really know what they are doing with glass!
Your HH.357 being "off" seems like a gross understatement to me. You poor thing having to go through that nasty experience. Just yuck!
I've got a dozen of HH.357s ordered over a period of a few months and none of them behave at all like you describe. The shortest drip tip I use is a wee 5/8" Trippy Tip peanut and a similar-sized Envision Pooh pot. I've never had any juice spit in my mouth from my HH.357s.
I use SR and my HH.357s have never seen the north side of 8.5 watts so I'm not pushing any envelopes. Maybe the lower resistance ones run at higher power are fussier? That said, I dry burn mine every 3 ml. or so even though Hanna says that's a no-no so they do suffer that abuse.
A properly working HH.357 should deliver more vapor than the Joyes you love but I don't know if you are going to notice an appreciable difference in flavor. My experience with tobaccos could most kindly be described as disastrous but I do notice that they and the coffees are much, much more forgiving flavor-wise than the teas, fruits and deserts that I normally vape. Those are the juices where I see the most dramatic difference in flavor nuance and intensity with the HH.357s even when compared to cotton-wicked micro coils.
