Alright....I have a question...

I just want to drip once in a while.... I have two KP long barrel bridge less sealed atomizers. One is at 1.5, the other at 2.0 ohms. It is a bit messy, and it seems I have to drip every three or four puffs because I can only drip 2-3 drops max before it leaks. I know that to really get it going great, I should have a 510 to 510 adapter And a drip shield. But why??? Can't they just put the air hole a bit higher? Isn't that what all the extra hardware nonsense essentially do??
Is there a better way??

Vapage is having one of their occasional 50% off atty sales. That makes their wonderful 510 atties just $4.50 each. ONLY available at their new website: shop.vapage.com with coupon code HS22G

Done. No wonder they're on sale. They're paying you to have to deal with their painfully slow mess of a website!

Thanks for the heads up.

Just wanted to say, I got my 2 HH.357 atty's today, long barrel at 2.0 ohms. They look standard size though... unless the "long" barrel IS standard size and the regular is shorter? Not sure... but either way, I blew out the primer and put some liquid in and dripped it right away. Hits like a dream! I don't see what the fuss is about with the break in time. They are working fine right now, only thing I guess it will get better??

Curious, did you get the custom (as in the for customized ratios)?

It's been alluded to, but I know that I got mine a awhile ago (summer '12), and supposedly they're reworked some things. That I can't say for sure, but as with any piece of ecig equipment, not every item leaving the building will work as advertised--it seems that you got exactly what the HH purports itself to be. Awesome.

All this talk about the HH has got me thinking about trying it again, and especially now that I only vape clean liquids. It should really last.

Question though, considering how badly my first HH spit (deal breaker for me), I was interested in the long barrel, but I don't want to sacrifice heat--I love hot vapor! Is the long barrel noticeably "cooler," or is it only marginally cooler?

Nope, I didn't choose the custom one, just picked the standard long barrel. I'm vaping it at 4.2 right now, huge clouds and amazing flavor. Wish they were cheaper, I'd definitely pick up more!

How is the heat? I think the custom ratio HHs were designed to cut back on what problems I ran into--the spitting. I think, with a long barrel and a custom filler I should be straight, but I don't like cool vaper. I am sure the increase in voltage should compensate, as long as it isn't so high as to cook. I would want to get one for my all VG liquids and my other blends (50/50), but that's 2xHHs and at $50, I am right back to cringing at the cost. I just need to get my ecig funds back in the black first.

To my knowledge, there was a version 1 and 2 but they have updated all the stock atomizers to the version 2. Any way to tell the difference? I personally prefer a cooler vape, I guess the short barrel would be better for that?

Edit: I meant, a short barrel would be better for a hot vape.

Hi guys, thank you so much for this thread! I tried to quit smoking by vaping a few years ago and it didn't take, so I'm back to try again. I think dripping will really help.

I have a question if someone has some time to answer. I can't find my old ecig batteries, so I bought the Triton and G6 starter kits from Halo (along with a bunch of clearos and enough juice that I could try a different one every day for a month), but this was before I started reading this thread. Will I be able to drip using either of these batteries? If so, will the 510 atomizers work (I already placed an order for some, along with some drip tips) or do I need a different size?

510's seem to be the most popular on this thread. So, if the Halo batteries won't work, which battery would you choose?

Thanks so much for any help!

It's been awhile for me, but I am pretty sure that the Halo equipment is generally 808 threaded/oriented.
So you would need an 808/510 adapter, or just get some different batteries.

You can get some 510 batteries, but I would strongly suggest an Ego Twist battery.

Thanks DC2. What size atomizer does the Ego Twist take?

None of my HH.357s are spitty but I'm wondering if the 70PG/30VG mix I use might have something to do with that? If VG has more difficulty in holding the flavors in suspension higher VG juices would be more likely to cause spitting, much like not patting food dry before dropping it in hot fat causes spitting.

It would be an additional cost but a donut or helix Trippy Tip would prevent any hot liquid from a spitty atty from going into your mouth. I've seen people post pictures of short ones from people who strongly prefer warm vapes.

I picked up a couple of long barrel HH.357s in my last order. I'm thinking that you probably would not care for them if you are wanting a warmer vape. Try using a longer drip tip versus a shorter one on a standard length atty without a bridge. That will pretty much tell the tale.

...I got the smallest donut glass drip tip Sagewood has ever made. It was from an exchange with Sagewood about customizing and though it was difficult, they managed to make me a donut glass tip that is barely bigger than a ming. I wanted something that got me as close to the heat as possible but that wouldn't allow for spitting from my short barrel HH; this is what we came up with.

Those guys really know what they are doing with glass!

That's exactly why I had that made! LOL. Actually, while it did prevent the spitting from initially reaching my mouth, due to the how excessive the spitting was with it, it still ended up in my mouth after prolonged usage (the tip ended up having a bit of a reservoir of liquid in the first turn, and likely was too small to totally negate it). And I tried ever possible ratio from 90% PG to 100% VG and all ratios in between. I don't doubt that my HH was just off (though the spitting has been talked about before). I know Hanna checks the resistance of the atties and all, but he told me there is likely an issue with the filler (nothing a meter will tell him about that). He was cool about it and made absolutely no insinuation that I didn't know what I was doing.

One plus Hanna has is that he looks exactly like, and talks exactly like my homeboy! LOL

Your HH.357 being "off" seems like a gross understatement to me. You poor thing having to go through that nasty experience. Just yuck! :(

I've got a dozen of HH.357s ordered over a period of a few months and none of them behave at all like you describe. The shortest drip tip I use is a wee 5/8" Trippy Tip peanut and a similar-sized Envision Pooh pot. I've never had any juice spit in my mouth from my HH.357s.

I use SR and my HH.357s have never seen the north side of 8.5 watts so I'm not pushing any envelopes. Maybe the lower resistance ones run at higher power are fussier? That said, I dry burn mine every 3 ml. or so even though Hanna says that's a no-no so they do suffer that abuse.

A properly working HH.357 should deliver more vapor than the Joyes you love but I don't know if you are going to notice an appreciable difference in flavor. My experience with tobaccos could most kindly be described as disastrous but I do notice that they and the coffees are much, much more forgiving flavor-wise than the teas, fruits and deserts that I normally vape. Those are the juices where I see the most dramatic difference in flavor nuance and intensity with the HH.357s even when compared to cotton-wicked micro coils.

Okay. Mine is a SR as well. I am filling out the envelope to send it back now. Hanna told me that my ticket will not "expire." I hope I can find that dern atty though. LOL

Irrespective of what happens with my first one, I will get another one. You being adamant that you'e never experienced anything remotely similar says a whole lot considering how many you've had.
