Back towards the beginning, I had bought some SLB attys...that was the only time I ever bought anything other than Joye...made me leary.
They worked ok for only a couple of days...where a Joye atty will truck on for months.

Are the boges a new try for you or have you used them before ?

I don't think I've tried them - in the past I have gotten some attys that I didn't know what brand they were, but I do use mostly joye. I guess I'll see how long they last, hopefully longer than a few days! my joyes do last months. I vape unflavored, maybe that helps. and I don't clean them until they start acting up :)

Bridgeless 510 Atomizer | Smoktek.com

Sorry for not getting back sooner, doc added to my meds so getting adjusted to them. So anyways.. I ordered 2 of the above from smoketek, bridgeless 510 atty. Got them, stupid me didn't realize how easy it is to flood these things. I guess 12 drops was way too many, LOL.

But now I'm curious, I know my tanks I can clean with soapy water & soak in vodka for drying. But I'm reluctant to do more than lightly dry this with a piece of tp after blowing from the battery end. Hehe, one thing I found is some juices don't taste better than they vape.

So, are these okay for a limited taster? And is there any way other than blowing to clean them?

I feel that they have some pretty bad advice on the bottom of the page...

A drop or two will produce a more intense flavor and lots of vapor. However, we do not recommend directly dripping on the atomizer because it can degrade atomizer performance and shorten its life dramatically. It is always a good idea to have a spare atomizer! Remeber DO NOT OVERDRIP!

1) A drop or two? That's not even going to get a clean and dry atomizer ready for vaping!
2) Dripping can degrade atomizer performance? Shorten it's life dramatically? What?
3) DO NOT OVERDRIP! In all caps no less. As far as I'm concerned it's far better to overdrip than underdrip.

Blowing it out is sufficient for most people I think.
But if you are wanting to clean it more thoroughly you can rinse it with water.

The problem with rinsing it with water is that it won't work right until you get the water out.
But there are certainly a lot of ways to speed up the drying process.

Yes, that was TERRIBLE advice. Absolutely terrible!

I blow them out through the drip tip end every day or two. To clean a bit more, I put in about 7-10 drops if plain PG, then blow out. If it's REALLY gunked, I'll run under very hot water, blow, rinse again, blow again, then dry. My atties typically lose flavor and vapor after 2-4 months of this routine. Most of my Vapage, Cisco and Empire atties last that long. I used to have all kinds if cleaning tricks that I never use anymore. I think the less cleaning the better.

And while everyone has mileage that can and will vary, I will throw in an alternative thought...
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/69834-my-atty-resurrection-method.html

The above link is how I used to clean my atomizers when I notice the vaper starting to taste burnt...
Or when I notice the amount of vaper dropping off noticeably...

I say used to because I don't bother anymore, now that I have about 200 of the Joyetech 510 atomizers.

Anyway, some love this method, and others not so much, so there you go.
:)

I simply soak mine in grain alcohol, either Everclear or vodka and then let it air dry. A quick dry burn and I'm back in business. I just had 2 atomizers burn out and I haven't bought any since March. I'm going to buy a couple more next week and with my current stock, I should be good until January.

I blow out every few days and call it good. I have a baggy with heavily used atties. We'll heavy in my opinion anyway. I haven't bought any vape stuf in like 9 months! Those dirty atties are back ups I guess. Maybe I should soak them..... They last so long compared to to the cartos in tanks. I have juice in glass bottls. Those are for tanks and I have juice in droppers. Those are for atties. My dripper juices go sooner than the tank juices. At this time I have three empty tanks waiting to be filled. I hate that part. So all atties atm

An update on the Cisco 1.0 ohm atomizer.

I gave it a second try on my Nemesis and it fired right up. I can only assume my old button top batteries weren't making a proper connection, because I had to do zero fiddling to get it to work with my new flat top 14650. It won't make a proper connection on my VMod, so it is only useful as a dripper for me. It is hot. I think it may be a little too warm for my tastes. I'm going to give it a good week of use before I make a final judgement on it.

Also, one of my beloved Stingrays that I thought had popped apparently hadn't.

Thanks for all the different ways to clean my bridgeless atties, I just soaked them in a bit of hot tap water for oh maybe 15 mins (didn't clock watch, long enough to do a few chores) then blew them out from the screw end. New cup of hot tap & soaked overnite, took out, blew out then placed big end down on a piece of papertowel for a day.

While I agree the suggestions on smoketeks site probably aren't the best, I think I understand why they did that..liability or CYA.
