Jerms, I don't know what the hell is going on with you, but everyday you make more and more insightful, wise and compassionately thoughtful posts. Dude, what the hell are you vaping?!?!?! Do they make sage eliquid? My man!

Thanks!

Other people may come to the conclusion that I think too much about vaping and hobbies in general lol. But.. it's my time to waste as I see fit.

I've been dripping with standard 2.3 ohm Joyetech 510 atomizers for well over three years now.
It's the only way I vape, and is very likely to be the only way I'll ever vape.

I'm way too lazy to deal with cartomizers or tanks or whatever.
And besides, I like to change flavors at the drop of a hat.

Can u direct me in that direction ....I'm a huge novice dripper and only have one bridgeless 510 atty that I got for dripping. Still not seeing these huge clouds everyone speaks of, but damn I want to!!! What should I buy..and is the easiest to use. I too like to change flavors at the drop of a hat. Thanks so much

If you want huge clouds you probably don't want to use what I'm using.
I get decent clouds, but nothing to write home about.
:)

Maybe some other people might have some suggestions...

Yep, ease of use and flavor is a common reason to use atties, big clouds isn't. Depends on what someone is expecting though, when I went from SR KR8 cartos (something like 3.2 ohms) on a cig-a-like to a LR atty (1.5-1.8 ohms), comparatively I was blowing HUGE clouds. Also, even those standard resistance cartos made more vapor than cigarettes gave me smoke, so I was more than fine with the clouds produced from the beginning.

Todays defination of huge clouds is done taking lung hits on a sub-ohm rebuildable with big air-holes. Compared to that, atties are pretty anemic cloud produces. I still say, hell of a lot more than cigs though lol.

Man, cigs produce wisps compared to my old Volt.

I've bought dozens of different kinds of bridged attys and found that that I have to take the bridge out as soon as I receive them. Does anyone else do that too lol?
Some that I've tried are bridgeless to begin with-- but many different brands just aren't working for me. They don't have decent draw, die in a few days, clog up in a few days or require too much soaking, cleaning and general fiddling with in many cases.

My favorite dripping attys these days are bridgeless from Vapage. I have 1.5 and 2.0 ohm hybrid bottom feeders (not much difference but it is discernible because I tend to reach for the 2.0 most often) . At first I was quite annoyed that I had to buy the "510 - ego" adapter to make them usable on my 650 mah ego twists. The threads are awkward on these buggers! Then later I realized that using the adapter keeps my batteries from getting eliquid on them. A lot of liquids seem to flood so quickly (user error I'm sure) but I do wish I could thicken some of the thinner liquids up just a bit (and yet I use 100%VG whenever possible!) Some vendors are adding a bit too much distilled water maybe? dunno

These attys have been lasting for more than 6 months, although when I see another 50% off sale, I'm going to stock up just in case these that I've been using for so long might quit on me any day now.

It only takes about one minute and then the flavor and draw is better! So for me it's a minute well spent :)

I too had better results removing the bridge or buying bridgeless. I stuck with low resistance atties, and wonder if those tended to work better with the bridge removed than standard resistance.

I use SR atties with VW and I personally find the flavor somewhat muted with the bridged ones. However, the issue of bridged versus bridgeless does seem to be a matter of personal preference. I would rather see people try both to see for themselves what makes them happy.

I am so happy to see this thread! I was beginning to think I was pretty much alone in the dripping realm. I read the threads about the newest and best tank/cartomizer devices and think I'm missing out on the latest and greatest creations, until I order one and try it out. It's then I realize that my plain ole 510 atty with a few drops of my favorite homemade liquid delivers all I could possibly want. They are inexpensive and I normally get at least a year's use out of them. In my nearly four years of vaping, I've had a total of four 510 attys go out on me. Most of the time they start getting weak after the six month mark and I lay them aside for a fresh new one. I use regular resistance because I've found that with heavy vaping sessions, LR attys cause my mouth to get a little sore. I suppose it's the higher temp. I tried debridging them just to see what I might be missing, but found myself dealing with flooding so that was a short lived venture.

If they ever invent a tank system that delivers the full flavor of liquids I will be on board because of the convenience issue. Until then, I'll continue to drip on my very simple yet effective 510, seated proudly on an Ego.:2cool:

I don't know if you've seen my posts about Digitalciggz (or maybe you saw it on ........?), but they have been frequently having Joyetech attys (the real deal) on sale for 9.95 for a pack of 5. I have gotten so many that I am not sure if I'll ever run out. They have the sale about every month and a half and I generally pick up about 15-20 each time (though I gave a bunch away like an idiot). After the sale, they go back to being about $40 for a 5 pack.

Is this
what you are referring to?

It doesn't say it is a sale, they make it appear to be the regular price.

Have you tried this exact item? - I am worried that it's a knock-off

why don't they have any reviews of it, I wonder?

I have been using these exact attys from DigitalCiggz since the beginning of July. I am very satisfied with them. I have not been able to find a better price anywhere else. They are stamped Joyetech on them. That is a reduced price. I am extremely happy with the customer service and delivery times at this vendor. I recommend them.

95% of my vaping is dripping with these attys. I use 1300mah Vision Spinners and and MVP2.

There are no branded Joyetech knock-offs. Now, what you may find is attys that a site sells that claim to be Joyetech and when you receive them, they aren't labeled. I have had that happen and the site "got" me, but as long as it is labeled Joyetech on the atty, you're all good. And yes, I only buy from Digital Ciggz now and have been for almost a year. I used to buy from "authorized resellers" that could only sell for a certain price or higher, but the fact remains that I have had the EXACT same experience, if not better due to price, with these as with the higher priced ones--occasional duds like from anywhere, and DC will replace them, but at such a low entry cost, I usually just chuck 'em.. They all read 2.2Ω (at least 9 out of 10 do) and are all labeled with the Joyetech gold band. I will never buy a Joyetech branded atty for more than what I pay at DC any more.

*Edit* Every vendor that I've ever talked to about this issue of supposed Joye knock-offs always begin with "does it have the gold Joyetech band?" There are a few sites, I think Vaporkingz is one that order theirs rebranded, but I have never bought from them as I would rather just have mine say Joye so there's no doubt. No dis on VK though, I just don't see the point to sell "authentic" Joyes without the branding. Plus, to rebrand a Joye product that, to begin with, is technically a Janty product is a bit weird.

Maybe one day we can talk about who Joyetech is and who Joyetech isn't. LOL. Calling RPad. Soon, I am going to buy a Janty gold band branded 510 sr atty to see the difference, if there is one.

Me too, although now that I've mastered micro-coils on mini-RDAs converted to bottom-fed for use on my bottom-feeders (3 REOs, 2 Phids, 4 VMods, 2 Luicy Juicies, an Old Goat and a Wetbox), I'm not sure I'll be buying any more JoyeTech atties for quite awhile (I have about 70 of them anyway, so I'm good for a long time).

I cringe at the days of ordering those attys a pop for $8+ shipping.

Before I decided to stop smoking and start vaping, I thought about smoking pipes...talk about having to fiddle with things. Making sure to pack it right, getting it lit, keeping it lit.....
Vaping will be easier
;)
Yup good call! I actually did get into pipe smoking for quite awhile a few years ago. Invested a good chunk of money (got to have a decent pipe and tobacco) and then only smoked mostly at home, in the evenings and weekends. Then you notice the smell hangs around A LOT longer and the wife makes you go to the garage. Now I have a cabinet full of pipes and tobacco and various other supplies that I'll more than likely will never use again. Live and learn I guess.

Been back to vaping since June and more recently back to dripping. Best flavor there is! Cisco spec LR bridgeless right now, on a chi-you clone, ST bolt, and a Vammo.

I've been keeping an eye out for mini-RDAs in case of vaping Armageddon.

What is your favorite one that works on a Mini Reo?
The smaller the better.

DC2,

Of the cheap Chinese clone RDAs that I can easily convert to bottom-fed, all are too wide in diameter to fit inside the catch cup of a REO Mini. Other than a special-order Reomizer 2 that Rob has milled down to fit, the only RDAs I have that fit my REO Mini are A7 Minis, so that's what I use.

Some REO owners are leery of A7s and A7 Minis because of the uninsulated positive pin in the 510 connector that, when screwed out too far, can cause shorting (and collapsed springs, which is a pain), but there's a fix for that, and I've had no trouble with them. I'm not thrilled with the unnecessary length of the A7 Minis (why so tall?), but they vape great, and the deep juice well is nice. To get the most from them, be sure to position the coil right over the center post that provides both juice delivery and air flow. I got my A7 Minis for $12 each with $2 shipping from OKCVapes, so I can't complain about the price.

A7 Mini RDA from OKCVapes

On my two REO Mini 2.1s---whose catch cups have a larger inner diameter than a REO Grand---I use a YK1 Mini RDA (Cyclone clone with a 14.2mm diameter that fits perfectly) on one, and a Reomizer 2 on the other. I use the other A7 Mini on my Old Goat. Most of my other bottom-feeders use YK1s. For $5.53 each shipped from FastTech, the YK1s are hard to beat (you could buy 11 of them for the price of one "authentic" Cyclone).
