I've tried eliquids from different merchants. Some I really liked, some I never liked. What I've experienced, I just like Coffee, Chocolate and Tobacco eliquids. Everything else is just unpleasant for me.

I'm about to get into DIY and have been reading lots and lots of info all the experienced DIY folks have left here. Just wondering, what everyone thinks about regular eliquids from different merchants vs the DIY stuff.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

(I was thinking of posting a poll but don't see where's the link to begin a poll)

Wow, some diehard DIY fans here lol .. I hope I get to say the same thing when someone asks about comparing premixed vs DIY. Why though? What makes you like your DIY (or the DIY clone of premixed) even more than premixed eLiquids?

Is it because of "what the hell is in this premixed juice?" kinda feeling? Well, I do think on those terms because if I order Coffee eLiquid, it should smell and taste like coffee. I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally don't wish to smell vanilla and caramel and a hint of this and kick of that lmao.

I must've tried coffee flavor juices from about 7 different merchants. Some of them were good but only 1 eLiquid ever tasted just coffee. All others were ok but I didn't like them much because of the unexpected surprises from a hint of this a pinch of that.

This is what I'm expecting from DIY, if I wan't coffee taste, I "just want coffee", that's it. I'll put coffee and it will taste only coffee :D

Why? I'm not real sure exactly.

I tried many many premixes and while some were ok, I never found any that I really liked. It just didn't happen. Maybe it was the percentages they used? Could be a lot of reasons I guess but the fact remains that I now have lots of juices I really like. I didn't expect to ever have so many choices to vape in a day but I have it now and I am a happy DIY'er. I have only been doing this for about a month now too so I know the best is yet to come. ;)

I don't like most of my diy stuff, but I didn't like most of the premixed either. I'm still new and suspect I just gotta find my "type" of e liquid. I have a sweet tart, strawberry, spearmint and watermelon that's pretty good. I made a new order and got several more fruits, a sweetener and a sour. Hopefully I can find a few more tolerable flavors. I picked up a bottle of LorAnn Tart and Sour, but it just didn't seem to do anything but make my juice have a citrus flavor to it. I got bored after 100 drops in a 30ml bottle and stopped adding.

On the bright side... I'm getting my nicotine and not smoking analogs, so I'm happy with the results.

Hey PO, I, too, adore tobacco and coffee flavors, and it's not difficult to recreate and/or reinvent some sublime creations. Every fruity, minty, etc... I've tried or made is not for me. Let me know if you need suggestions for flavorings. I've narrowed it down to about 40 necessary flavorings in order to create limitless or singular recipes in the t/c categories.

I'm surely not an expert in any sense, but as someone who enjoys the same flavors as you, I spent too many wasted paychecks on stuff I may some day have use in baked goods.

I was hoping to be as flavor adventurous as the other diy-ers here, but to me, there's nothing better than a nice cup of joe (though I do have a personal quest to make every ry4 concoction available).

I guess it all depends on what you trying to accomplish. Who can tell you better what you like than yourself? You DIY, you experiment, you put the right amount of flavor, you do everything. It is all under your control. If it tastes good, smells good, vapes good, obviously, it is good "on your scale". And then of course, there's this feeling of creativity, "I made this". And then experimenting over and again to hit the spot squarely, you can drive the way you wish because you are the driver in case of DIY, unlike a premixed juice where you are most of the times stuck with how the merchant made it.

Right now I have a few eLiquids from a particular merchant. Those are nice but the flavor is too strong for me. I've kept them for steeping with the bottle caps removed. Hopefully, the flavor will mute a little. Some may say, get Nic/PG/VG and mix them with the premixed to adjust the flavor. But then wouldn't like to "fix" the stuff made by someone else. A better option would be to begin with my own stuff.

I'm a good cook (at least people around me think that way ehehe). Most of my recipe experiments work out pretty good. I'm hoping I'll do good with DIY. Coffee flavor is something I adore and no matter how hard it would be, I'll definitely make my way through and when I do, I'll be on top of my world :D

I believe I like my DIY flavors better because I can tweak them to my taste. Taste is subjective of course and what is good to me may not be good to someone else. Although I do have a pretty small following for my tobacco ejuice, "edboro" as we call it. It took me some effort to taste each flavor and then find which one's needed to be at what percent. It was very worth while. It's very much like cooking in some ways when creating these ejuices. You think up something and you go about it like you would if you were preparing it for your family. I wish you the best of luck in your DIY attempts it is well worth it and I know you'll enjoy the end products. Happy Vaping :vapor:

Exactly what I've felt with other flavor (bakery, etc) eLiquids, not for me. I'll definitely contact you sir when I get my DIY. Thanks!

Would be kind of you to tell me what you order. Right now I'm preparing to place my order with RTSVapes

250 ml of 60 mg Nic in each PG/VG (500 ml total)
500 ml of each base PG/VG (1000 ml total)
Flavors: TFA (Coffee, Chocolate and Tobacco)

Not sure if I should be looking for EM (Ethyl Maltol), sweeteners, etc. What's your suggestion to me? Appreciate the advise :)

I don't think I could mess up a diy, even if I tried ...as bad as all the rave juice I didn't like.

Oooh what a bold claim... I have personally made a liquid that would make you vomit... Liqourice, aniseed and orange... It had an artificial chemical like taste that i can best describe as evil in a bottle
