Hello, Committee. I would like to leave the thread intact for the rest of the year, but only if it's working properly. I have no problems getting in, the forum speed has really improved for me, but if anyone else is struggling, like Starry, then by all means, it should be split like all the other big threads--first post should be included.

Well, it's been over 24 hours for voting and the majority is in the affirmative. Also starry is having problems, and I notice some slowness when I try to read back. Let's move forward with closing it and opening a new one with a copy of the 1st post.
Today is a no-planned-turning day.

Creating:
1) A post in the PVT to this effect
2) A PM to our favorite oompa loompa to request the changes along with a post at the end of the closed thread pointing to the new one.

We decided to close the PVT and open a new one to keep the #posts per thread down. Not a rush, but would like it today if possible for you since there are no turnings scheduled for today.
We would like:
1) The old (current) one closed.
2) The new one opened with very similar title (maybe with "cont." on end or some such)
3) The 1st post copied from old to new.
4) The 2nd post in the new to point to the old.
5) The last post in the old to point to the new.
Is this possible and OK with you? Do you have any other suggestions?

it turned out ok, ces - but we need to regroup. we're showing 14 members but in reality are down to atty, fran, starry, you and me
