as i said before i'll be off list rotation as of saturday. as to pvt in general - we have almost zero visibility in the lounge but since management feels that's all we deserve, so be it.
ces' suggestion of a spot in ''success stories'' would have been much more appropriate, imo. since there is so little value given to pvt by ecf i will no longer spend countless hours editing, double-checking, pming, and keeping an eye on the thread as much as possible. i will no longer rearrange my rw schedule to accommodate turnings. i will no longer make dh eat dinner before 5 pm or after 7 pm because we have a prevet about to turn during our regular supper time - or, like last saturday, miss a vet appointment for the kittens because i was running late due to a turning. in short, i'll support pvt pretty much to the same extent the majority of the team does. if i'm online - fine; if not, i will no longer worry about it.
j0ker pmed me back telling me he'd appreciate if i'd continue with the markings. and i had told all of you i would keep doing this if it was ok with him.
i don't think we'll see much new activity from now on; most members, as was mentioned by mikee3, never set foot in the lounge. we were never a clique but welcomed all. just look at catt, jag, guv, chopper and countless others who stopped by and were taken in without hesitation. as it turned out, most moved on to other areas of the forum after a while except for our catt
i have no idea why this came about now. we were getting back to a routine, trying our best to keep the thread going and looking for volunteers to help replace whiskey. we, at the least, deserved some kind of advance warning after more than 2 yrs in general.

Ditto. I've never done as much as Tibs, Catt, Atty, CES, Starry and, of course, Whiskey, but I was always here late at night, usually with my sweet Natalia and Starry. Sometimes I was the only PVT member in attendance, but I didn't mind. I enjoyed my night shift duties even though I often had to rearrange my family time or leave our dinner table in the middle of a meal. I did it gladly because I felt that what we did there mattered--not only to our guests of honor, but also to the management. I foolishly believed that PVT was unique and special and that it made ECF feel more like an internet family rather than just another e-cig forum.

I will still post in welcome threads, but I will not participate in everyday activities like I used to. Of course, if there is a dire need for my help, I will always make myself available. Please send me a PM and I'll try to do my best to help. I don't want any prevets to be left alone on their special day. I owe it to all of you and to J0ker, who's been very kind and patient with us all... Thanks, J0ker!

Should the thread be moved to Success Stories or back to General, I'll gladly return to my duties for the remainder of the year.

This thread has only 3.5 months to live in its present form. Even if it does belong in the Lounge, it should have been allowed to die a natural death in the very place where it was first started--it never bothered anyone for over two years; why can't it go on for three more months? On January 1st, a new Prevets can be started by a new team in the Lounge or Outside or in the Sandbox, for all I care.

Is a little respect and regard for our feelings really too much to ask for? Haven't we earned it?

I'm still here but...limited capacity. I started Sporty's thread...that will be the last. I will still post in the welcome thread for new people and in prevets(but only when I REALLY have time). I don't think, what little I did, will be missed or inconvenience anyone. But, honestly, people who are here only because they have no power in the RW...wear me out.

Oh...and since Sporty is at 9:25 Eastern...I'll be no where near a computer...someone will have to "DO" Sporty. I'll...be on the road. Hopefully not killing deer now that it's dark again for the commute.

i'm glad we'll have you with us to some degree, tweety and meggers - prevets is just so special it's hard to walk away from completely. i had emails, i had pms but what did me in was vaping turtle who posted on the forum the highlight of his summer was his turning party and his welcome thread ...............
and then there is j0ker who developed a year-long contest to tie to us; no matter that quite a few of us were never in favor of this contest; he didn't know. somehow, we'll go on.
and it sure looks as if we converted vapoor

I have just a few minutes, thank you all for Your honesty and openness . I share your feelings. And Meggers, your contributions will be missed as much as Tibs and Katya.

I respect all of your decisons to pull back. We each have to deal with it as we can, and I know that we all support the thread and the concept, and know the value. I am planning to stay on, but have never rearranged my schedule to the extent that you all have. (I won't be there for sporty tonight, and haven't made it by the thread since this morning)

frannie - it'll be ok - we all got hurt and classy should understand this. she knows how much effort and time goes into prevets. i honestly thought we were showing members in the general forum how much of a community spirit exists here is on ecf. guess i was wrong.

btw why don't take your lap top out on the porch? it'll soon be winter up there ....... enjoy while you can!

I think Pre-Vets is big enough and strong enough to withstand what ever location it is placed in.

Heck, stick it in the sandbox !...if the heart is good it will survive.

If it is not enjoyable for someone any more, that is another story...

I hate to see something that can be so sweet die off, but if that is the will of the group I can't do anything about that.

classy, that unannounced move and sarge claiming we're a clique and post count hunters did hurt a lot. when you put your heart in something just to have it labeled ''chit chat'' and ''off-topic'' and stuck away in the lounge you get very discouraged.
keep an eye on the number of ''views'' of pvt and you'll see the difference.

i might be wrong but i think the lounge is the worst place we could be. we would get more attention in the sandbox. i realized how many people watch that when i stashed the list in there for a while
