And I'm cleaning up here after her; bags and boxes of stuff they need to be dropped off at Goodwill.

That sticky in general Dusty put is generic so what if we wrote something up like - Hey are you approaching your one year, this is the thread to vist etc. ,explain what we do how it works and ask Dusty to edit his post. The way it reads now people don't have an idea what it means, just where it is. Perhaps we could use it to let people know how it works. General is busy and since it's a sticky? Just thinking...here is what it says now.

sarge's post of us being a clique has become a self-fulfilling prophecy - unless we reach out to people we know there'd be nobody. at least in general it was a mixture since we were getting drop-ins .....

editing the sticky (including the title) and reaching out both sound like reasonable possibilities. Even though most people don't read the stickies at least its a chance. i don't have the energy to really try to drum up business- and i don't know that many people. i guess the first step would be to get to know new people...
there is nothing wrong with editing the sticky - i just don't think it'll do us much good. people were drawn to the thread because it moved ......

and a good one
maybe people have changed and that sticky will catch their eye but the main problem remains - the thread thrived because of location and whiskey. we've lost both. there is not one of us who has the time necessary to keep the thread interesting. just imagine yourself as a prevet stopping by ...... the fun has gone. it was tough getting over the loss of whiskey but we were hanging on. being moved finished us off ....
