I'm pretty sure the batteries are run in series not parallel on those mods so the amp draw is not devided between the 2 batteries. With a series battery configuration the amp limit is the same as with 1 battery but the voltage is doubled.

So with 2 LG HE4's in series your max constant discharge will be 20A the same as with 1.

Also in regulated mods resistance has nothing to do with how many amps you're drawing. It has to do with wattage used and battery voltage. This is the equation.

When you have worked out your amp draw you want to increase it by 5 to 10% because regulated mods are not 100% efficient.
Also keep in mind that as battery voltage drops your amp draw increases.

Still confused. So with my 20a batteries, I can't withdraw over 20a even though there's two? I've got a tfv4 0.15 quad coil.. run that from 80-120 watts so that's not safe then

0.15 at 120w = 28amps nope not safe, in fact you're way over your batteries continuous amp limit.
Even at 80w on your low end you're still pulling 23amps, you need a parallel box or a different hobby, (j/k) but I'm not kidding when I say be careful you don't want to end up on the 5 o'clock news.

When you use dual series cells, you double the voltage of a single cell. When used in the same circuit (i.e., the same mod and coil), Ohm's Law tells you that the current draw (amps) of the dual series cells will be half that of a single cell. In either case, you do not want to exceed the max CDR of the cells.
Give me an example. A 0.15 ohm build, at 100 watts. Is 25.82A according to steam engine. So I would divide that by two and that's what's coming out of each battery??

Not coming out of each cell, it's what's passing through both of them - 12.91A, providing you accounted for the efficiency of the mod. Also, it's best to use your mod's battery cutoff voltage in making calculations.

So the extra batteries are for battery life then? I'm so beyond confused. Why's smok sell a tfv4 with 0.15 coils rated for 140w if there's no battery that can handle it

Because they want your money? There are mods that can handle it btw.

Okay, so with the dual or triple I'm safe at a 0.15 at 100w? Because it's only 12.9a??

I suppose, go for it if it makes you happy mate. Like I said I never have never will vape that hot, I usually roam around 15amps max at home, and my carry around vape is well into tootlepuff territory.

Stay safe! Just remember not to stress batteries for long periods of time and you'll want to swap batteries more frequently if you push hard, cell degradation is real.
