I am sure the forum does not tell if a friend request has been rejected as it not tell if a friendship has been broken, the only way to know is rechecking the friend list , i tried it long time ago

Yes, but we've upgraded the forum software quite a few times lately, and little changes like that happen all the time without really being documented.

I'll send you a friend request. Reject it, and I will let you know if I receive a rejection notification.

I am not sure if the forum does that or not. Nobody dares reject my requests! Muahahahaaaaa!

I had the same question and asked Elendil through PM and he said, 'yes, the poster gets the rejection notice'.

I did a test with a member. The request sender (after rejection) received no notice.

However, the "Friendship Requested" remained on the sender's "contacts" page for about 15 hours or so. It's been manually dumped from the contact page -- how long would it stay?

As added information -- it was actually about 13 hrs. before it was manually dumped and this was last night through today.

I agree TwinTurbo. Here's a great example for the OP to checkout of just being nice to people, talking to others on threads etc. Please check this link. This actually happened.

I disagree. You don't have to hang out with someone in the "real" world to consider them a friend. Although, if he doesn't wish to accept friend requests then I can respect that and there's nothing wrong with it.

I have a really good friend from Canada that I have never met. We have only played online games for like 5 years together (mostly first person shooters), but we have each others cell number, talk about BS, let each other know of events in our lives etc. We consider him a real friend even though I have never met the guy..

who cares........ REALLY !!

I only use the friend baloney as a manner of convenience for a quick contact list of vapers local to me or others I pm/contact frequently. But then again, I'm one who also absolutely hates facebook/twitter/and other social media.

To me.... friendships are personal and face to face..... others I refer to simply as "acquaintances" only.

Yes.... I'm anti-social.... deal with it :p

This isn't just a social board, it's also a support board. I think people are sometimes friended if they help someone out, or answer questions, help someone select a juice, a pv, post links for them, etc. I know how much it meant to me when I first started. This whole thing is new to a lot of people, and important to them.

Just take for the nice gesture that it probably is.

You've been around a long time, you're probably tired of answering questions. My point is, that when you're new and never vaped and you meet a bunch of people that are SO helpful and you're trying to keep all the user names straight, maybe it's just a gesture of thanks when someone tries to 'friend' someone. I don't think they want to come to your house for a sleep-over or anything. Well, maybe they do.

that's exactly what i was meaning,(don't take me wrong, English is not my language) it is true that we the oldies get tired of replying the same questions over and over and many of us the oldies are out of all the new info about the E cig world, in the last 2 years so many changes have occurred.................. on my age there was no more than 8 or 10 PVs , right now there shouldbe hundreds of them
