Just a thought, maybe they like what you have to say and want to be sure to read your posts when they log on. I don't know if there is an option to see your friends post when you log on but I would take it as a compliment. I have a hand full of friends and i asked them or they asked me because I like what they have said and I do occasionally stock their posts.

This is a good example. Vapi and I started discussing things, next thing you know we are trading juices. Now I don't care if she sends me somthing or not. Whatever I think she would like - she gets it. Very nice person and I never met her. Another example is Wylie, I can never repay Wylie for the kindness he showed me. Strange how sometimes you can be friends with someone you never met face to face. Anybody else here know of someone that you never met, only talked to on a thread a few times, that would pu a 200.00 mod for you on the faith you would want it and pay him back? Just saying, I don't think I'll ever get over that one.

That's exactly right. I remember that also. It is a nice gesture. Imagine if new people wanted to be friends with a couple people and were rejected. They wouldn't even try anymore. It's just not nice IMO. I personally would rather be thought of and remembered as nice than not.

What'd be even worse than being rejected is to see a big ol thread about you.

Remember when we were in elementary school and we had to write those stupid letters to "penpals"? I always hated that, but my mom told me that her best friend was a penpal she wrote to when she was 9 and they grew up together through letters and even after they were married and had kids still penpals they never talked on the phone that I ever remembered anyways but friends can come from surprising places. I just wonder every time I decline someone on FB if they could have been my next best friend or if they are a weirdo stalker waiting to follow me to MickeyDees's and kidnap me in the parking lot. Can we get a yay! for internet/pen friends.

My father always said, it takes more energy to be nasty than nice. Proof - couple people came up to me at our 40th class reunion last yr. Thanked me for being one of the very few people that was nice to them and bothered to talk. Even though it wasn't often. They wished they had been more popular or liked. Felt like a real creep for not talking to them more. Just sayin. I had a great time all 12 grades, they - not so much. Class of 140 students, so you know how small that was.

If I reject a friend request will they be notified that I rejected that request? I have one.... its nothing personal against this person, I just dont care for the whole "friending" thing that seems to be synonymous with Web 2.0 or whatever version were on now. If someone wants to send me a message.. go for it, but friend me? Meh, I dont get it.. and dont care but I dont want to hurt their feelings. I would prefer an "ignore" button instead of accept or reject.

Friend request sent.
