You can always return your credit card and boycott them
You don't have to all out boycott them, but I do use my card MUCH less as a result. If I can pay at the store by debit, I do now, whereas before I just used the credit card for everything. Its only use now is when I HAVE to use it, such as to rent something.
Even with a hotel for example, I make a point that they don't just run it on my card, I settle the bill with debit on checkout by request.
