I've been doing pretty well. No analogs in over a month.... Until last night. I quit on 808s and weaned myself down to 6mg liquids on an evod setup. My all day vape is 6mg root beer.
After smoking 2 camel crushes from a friend last night, I am craving hard core. My 6mg stuff is not doing it.
I'm a noob to vaping and wondering if someone can recommend something compatible with an evod battery for those times when I need a larger hit of nicotine and a juice that will nip the urge to go buy a pack of analogs. I would rather not fill a whole tank with the stuff. Maybe a cartomizer? Any advice would be appreciated.

I personally use 18mg Gummy Bears juice. I find that a person who vapes doesn't hit their rig as many times in one session as you would if you were smoking a cigarette. with less drags on the vape, you need more nicotine. A cigarette has the equivalent to 6mg nicotine per drag but you smoke a cigarette till it is gone and that isn't the case with your vape. I choose a higher nicotine juice so I don't have to hit my vape as many times to get my fix. Also, by vaping less often you can reduce the chance of vape tongue (loosing taste temporarily)

I've been vaping for 2 1/2 years now and have gone down to 6mg to 0mg but I didn't start decreasing the nicotine until 6 months after I started. At the beginning I started with 18mg. Even now I buy a bottle of 12mg once in a while.

Why are you worried about staying at low nicotine strength? You've quit smoking already, nicotine strength is neither here nor there.

Welcome, and congratulations on making your way off the smokes!
Sounds like you might need to up the nic level of your juice a bit. Maybe keep an inexpensive clearomizer filled with something that has the extra kick for when you want it. They can be had in glass-tank versions for about 8 bucks.
You also need to find a flavor that works for you. This can get expensive, but most vape shops are set up so that you can sample different flavors. Once it's narrowed down to a general type of flavor: fruit, dessert, menthol, tobacco, etc, you can explore other sources for fine-tuning the taste of the liquid as your budget permits.

Two things are required: the vape hardware needs to be available, always (tanks, coils, batteries, and juice), and the flavor and nic content need to be sufficient to keep you satisfied. The philosophy of "backups of backups..." resounds here for good reason.
I was very fortunate to find a nic level and flavor that allowed me to kick the smokes literally overnight. It still amazes me as I was smoking 2+ pad.

Best of luck to you. You'll always have a support team here.

I was never a heavy smoker, and don't really want to get accustomed to high nic again. A breakthrough vape is what I'm after. Yall bring some really good ideas. I didn't really know what dripping was until now. That looks like a good home option. Cheap ckearo for when out would be good too. I just need to find a flavor I like. A lot of the flavors I do like taste awful with high nic. Hasn't found a tobacco flavor I like yet. I'll have to go try things out at the smoke shop.

Welcome to ECF! Another thing you could try is to have a bottle of of a higher nic on hand. I know you said you don't want to get accustomed to higher nic. But if it were to stop you from buying cigarettes when the craving hits, it might not be a bad thing. I started at 12mg. I have a couple bottles of 18mg just for those times. They have been useful but I don't vapethem on a regular basis and I don't have to fill the whole tank to get through the craving. Good luck.

A bridgeless attomizer is perfect, it is a mini-dripper. No rebuilding, just place a couple drops on it, take a hit, repeat. Keep it around for those times you need some high nic juice.

You say you have an evod, so I know you have an ego threaded device, but dont know if you have 510 too. If you have 510...this is a great devic;
HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid 510 Atomizer - Avid Vaper

A lot of people use these, to taste test their DIY e-juice, as they are tinkering with flavoring and aging.

Yep, the Bridgeless Atomizer does it for me. About $5 and easy to clean. I use mine to drip when tasting other's juices and for when I need a "smack". Early on, I got a bottle of strong nic juice. I separated it into two small bottles so I could have one in the car. When I need a "smack", 4 drops is four draws.

I, too, have to say that I waited a while to lower my nic. After 10 months, I am at 12mg and some say that is about a light cig. My next batch (Christmas timeish) will be 6 and 12 that I mix together to make 9mg. As I am learning to DIY, I am following suit. No real reason to rush. My doctor said that nicotine is fairly similar to caffeine, just not to vape 5 gal. a day.

I use $3.87 Hangsen E-liquid for Electronic Cigarettes (30ml) - Ruyan 4 flavor / 24mg/ml nicotine at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping for my tobacco type flavor and Blue Moon Ice Cream - Killer Juice For when I want something real yummy, both 24 nic. I used to vape 36-38 nic for about a year but recenly dropped down some.

I'm leary of buying liquid from China because of news reports of arrests for people putting garbage in food products. Am I being overly worried?

I have been buying this liquid for a year and a half. Never had any bad batches. Always Yummy. I buy the 30ml/24nic 5 bottles at a time. Also there are some videos of thier production factory (on youtube), and it looked like it was legit. As long as the liquid keeps coming in yummy I will keep on buying it :) Once it starts tasting like pizza, I'll not buy it anymore hehe.

Hrrm actually if it's a good pizza taste I may still buy it! :)
