Hello :) I was wondering if anyone here remembers yard waste cigarettes? I had a pack that was made out of rose petals and other yard waste lol. No joke these weren't the fun ones but the completely boring ones for quiting smoking. That was in the late 90's. A couple years later I tried the same idea, but with anise and sage. Would roll organic sage and only sage then smoke it. So this is where vaporizing comes in. Have any of you vaped supplements? I am not talking about getting a thrill or anything, but things that are supposed to help with quitting smoking. This is NOT a drug thread. I don't care to read about highs and thrills. I want to dyi a liquid with Lobiellia or other supplements that aid in the quitting of nicotine. Unless it is already being done then maybe some info it. I want to be done with nicotine. Even if I hack down my nicotine levels I am going to have to just quit at one point. The urge to smoke cigarettes has haunted me even after a year of quitting I started smoking again. Most of you know what it is like to slip and start smoking all over again. I know all to well for I have quit more times than I can count. vaping is great I love it, but I want to be done with nicotine. :vapor:

The only thing I ever heard of was clove cigs, back in the 70's. Guess I lead a sheltered life or something.

So, what is stopping you from reducing your nic levels and finally weaning yourself off of nic? That's what a lot of people do. I started at 24 mg nic levels and have been gradually reducing my nic levels. I am now using 3 mg to 6 mg and beginning to work in 0 mg. I am tired of the addiction.

Are you talking about those HoneyRose "herbal cigarettes"? I recall those being absolutely GHASTLY the one time I tried them. Gack.

As for herbal medicines, you could try macerating herbs of your choice in VG and then simmering in it with a slow cooker for a few days. You wouldn't know what dosage you were getting though, unless you had it professionally tested.

LOL ha somebody does remember! Just like burning yard waste! Slow cooker? Hmm might damage some of the compounds. I have read about vaping vitamins but remain skeptical due to heat damage.

Agreed. It's a dicey business and in all honesty I would leave any medicinal-herbal usage alone unless you are really qualified to do it. I only offer this because I recently tried extracting a Montecristo cigar with this method and it worked awesomely well.

Rose, you could try Passionflower Extract as an additive for your juice. It has a calming effect in small doses and I've used it in eliquid. The taste wasn't bad at 10% of the mix. My wife takes a large dose of Passionflower (in capsules) as a sleep aid.

This one is alcohol free but has starch listed in the ingredients: Herbal Authority Passion Flower Liquid Extract

This one has 12-15% alcohol: Passionflower Extract - Nature's Answer

Both are glycerin based.

Yes, I have tried it. It does give a slight calming effect if you vape it for a while. I didn't notice any physical side effects like sore throat or wheezing, etc. You could probably vape this VG-based stuff straight if you wanted to, but I haven't tried that. Turns out that I finally got over my cig cravings and now I'm okay with just some nicotine in my juice.

Have you tried WTA? It's expensive but worth it if regular eliquid isn't doing the job for you.

Thank you for info. I like the valerian idea but that is one of those supplements you have to be pretty knowledgeable about. To much can really be a bad thing. Passion flower is soothing but everytime I drinks it or take the capsules instant migraine. Hoping that I can just lower the nic and be done after a bit. Just want to be prepared. So thanks again.
