Okay, the Web site does say that. I'll be interested in what Rutoo says is the hazardous substance in e-liquid that is NOT present in their own cartridges. The only substance that "should not be experimented with" would be propylene glycol. So what do they use instead?

Can't be nicotine. Nicotine is in their cartridges. Awaiting your answer from Rutoo ..

BTW it appears from the post I read about OEM genericly branded mini's that the no brand I bought, the Rutoo and potentially the Janty Yentl all come out of the same factory, this may also be the case for a number of other branded mini's

That's pretty much it. From what I can gather there are a small handful of factories who have liscence to manufacture units under the original patents from Ruyan. They produce a lot of generic models and some sellers are just reselling those unbranded. Others are produced in the same generic batches, but are packaged for a brand, like SmartFixx, etc. Others are produced to order for a brand using their own design and engineering specifications, like njoy and Janty.

So it's still just a handful of factories, and some factories are better than others, but even from the same factory, there can be big differences in the products made for each brand.

I'm surprised people still refill. I thought we'd all jumped on the drip wagon. *shrug*

IMO, refilling carts is as outdated an e-smoking problem as using carts. Yeah, they're still around and sometimes a necessity, but I for one am looking for something better.

This will require some...considerable experimentation on my part. Anxious to know what rutoo has to say on the matter.

Don't expect any meaningful response from Rutoo. They are not known for seriously following up on these kinds of hollow statements. At most some more blabla coming from there, would be quite surprised with anything substantial. They are just hoping people will fall for it... and again they indeed succeeded in putting themselves into your (and through you also into our) attention that way... well, that's their whole strategy. It went to my tall book of 'fairy-tales in e-cig land unless and until positively proven otherwise' the moment I saw where it came from.

And sorry, but I am really hoping hard by now to see a change coming to this jumping from fear-hype to fear-hype on just about a daily base... we find an infinitely less hazardous way of smoking then we have all been doing for many years if not decades... other people have been e-smoking for several years allready and all there is to report about that (save the rare allergic reactions that always happen with any substance and the even more rare incidents that always happen with anything also) is that health has dramatically improved, in many ways and on many levels... and it seems like just about all we are doing with it here is crying 'danger' 'watch out' 'oh dear it might be bad' 'well it doesn't look bad but who knows, maybe in 50 years they will find something bad about it ányway so nonetheless I am calling DANGER right nów'.... PLEASE... Please let's try to keep using a positive angle? This thread for instance could be, instead of in 'DANGER WATCH OUT'- style, instead be given the correct title 'Waiting for Rutoo-claim to be substantiated' ? Same story... different approach... (oh and MNZ, this is not personal, not aimed at you, but is in essence about a more general ongoing trend, starting to emerge a while back, that I am hoping to see change back a fair bit again...if we all try together, I'm sure we could get it back on a more positive track soon enough with the community we have here :) )

they never stated anything about inhaling something hazardous. They said it was dangerous to experiment with it. Nicotine would qualify for what they are saying. I'm sure that will be the response.

I agree. And Nicotine IS dangerous to experiment with if you don't know what you're doing. So actually it is a good warning and a good way to cover yer ... if there's ever a lawsuit.

Absolutely agreed, Katink, and very well said. Bravo!
