I don't have any of those things, but I'm sure Home Depot does. If the coffee grounds or charcoal don't work (both things I have in the house), I'll give those a try.

Thanks.

Home Depot doesn't have pure tung oil, I had to order it online. But the stuff from Home depot might work in your case since it's inside the mod.
As Rob instructed me, it's the best product for pure wood mods, not the polycoated ones. For that, Howards Feed n Wax is excellent.

Thanks, six. Something else I'll need to buy for my Woodvil toolbox. I'm going to end up with a $200 mod and topper, plus $1000 worth of supplies to keep it in shape.

If it is in the wood: Howards Feed-N-Wax. - This is well accepted as the right product for cleaning, polishing, and conditioning woodvilles. It contains orange oil. Orange oil does a good job of separating alcohols (like PG and VG, glycerol etc) from anything they've adhered to. Orange oil has its own scent and it will stick with the mod for about three days after a thorough treatment.

Okay, that's the second recommendation for Howards -- a product I've never heard of it before today. I love ECF, although I often wonder if they're all getting a kickback off my Amazon account. :homy:

The reason I recommended "activated" charcoal is this. Worth a try if nothing else works.
"Activated charcoal is extremely effective at odor control. The tremendous surface area of activated charcoal (1 teaspoon = a football field) quickly adsorbs unpleasant scents--not just masks them. So, while other odor control techniques just cover up the smells, activated charcoal actually eliminates them permanently. No scents makes good sense!"

Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions and advice. As I had coffee in the house, decided to try it first. Had some of that Hawaiian Chocolate Macadamia in the house that we weren't using, so I filled up half a sandwich baggy with it and dunked in the Woodvil for two days. Removed it from the bag and the tobacco smell has been replaced by the coffee smell. After airing out for a couple of days the body of the woodvil has a slight sweet smell, a little stronger on the door.

All in all, I'm very happy with the results. You guys are an unbelievable source of information and advice.

Again, thanks.
