Aside from the doors, all the bodies are the stock untouched black wrinkle. The Grand on the right is all black wrinkle but I slightly refinished the door to give it a flatter look & different contrast from the the body

Excellent, the one on the right is my favourite. Hopefully within the next 12 hours I will be having my first vape on a reo.

How did you change the finish of the door.

Congrats! Seems like the color combos listed on his site don't mean all that much for some colors. When I decided to order my VVG there were no silver vein options on the site at all for VVGs. I sent Robert a PM asking what I wanted & he simply told me no problem & an invoice was sent. I don't even place orders on the site anymore, I just send him a PM.

I used Scotchbrite but I forget which one I used. I have maroon, gray, & white. I want to say I used gray but I think I may have used maroon verh lightly.

I wasn't happy with the wick placement cause the top cap would catch on it at times. I wasn't sure about my next try on wick placement, I tucked the wick under the leads & placed the ends between the posts. Would have been much easier using cotton as the Ekowool won't just stay put anywhere you put it without something to hold it. But cotton for a new user is definitely out of the question.

Came out a bit sloppy but it works great! Wanted to use more wick than necessary to help prevent over flooding until he gets used to squonking. I'll play around some more on the next rebuild.

Delivered it to him today. He choked on it a couple of times too. Found out it was the way he vaped. I told him he was probably not getting enough air flow & to take bigger hits. He seemed hesitant at first but quickly found out that did the trick. He absolutley loves the Reo & can't stop using it. He liked it so much he gave me cash to buy another one!

I think I will just lay low now & just convert others to Reos from here on. ;)

You might have stumbled along a new side-job opportunity... Offering turn-key kits for new Reonauts.

Quite the army that Robert is building: He as manufacturer, sXd as marketing, Karen and Alice as museum curator/historians, Lisa as consultant/R&D, kaypers as customer data collection specialist... I'm sure if it wasn't so early and my brain was firing on all cylinders I could come up with many more..

Why dont you recommend cotton for a new user?

No cotton for him, he'll probably singe that before he even gets home.

Silica and ekowool will survive a dry burn while cotton won't. New REO users sometimes don't squonk frequently enough. Happened to me as a new REO owner using cotton. One bad one burned my throat, watered my eyes, and set off the smoke detector in the family room. Got my attention about squonking!

Yup....I didn't even realizeI said that above. I meant just for my buddy as NH quoted from the first post. :)

I don't even use cotton in my Reos. I only use cotton at home.
