I've read many rave reviews about the Reo on this forum so finally decided I'd spring for the $135+ to get one. Now I find they're almost impossible to get, about like winning the lottery. Whoever makes these things has the most screwed up system for ordering I've ever encountered. Why doesn't he just take orders with the understanding it will have to be assembled before it's shipped instead of having these electronic auction like sales where the only people who have a chance of getting one are those with lightning fast internet connections and the spare time to sit in front of the computer constantly refreshing waiting for them to go on sale. Perhaps e-cigarette forum should ban any further reviews of the Reo until they are really available. I've emailed this guy asking about how I can order one but he doesn't even respond to the email as opposed to most of the other vendors I've found on this forum here who provide excellent customer service. Is anyone else as frustrated with this system as me?

Hi Smitty, I understand your frustration, the problem is that he sells out almost immediately whenever he has product. He couldn't do it on his web site because it would crash. So, as an interum solution he did it via the forum. I believe I saw a note on his thread that he was closing it because his new website was up now and he could take orders through it. So I went there and found that, as usual, everything was sold out. I did however find a way to contact him - it's from his site: Contact Us and there is a telephone # there too. I do have a reo grand and it is an excellent pv - I think it lives up to everything that has ever been said about it, so it is worth the cost and unfortunately, the effort. It is a very good deal so people flock to it. I also have heard that he is a very nice fellow who does a good job at replying to emails etc. though I have never sent him one outside of the order (yes, I raced and won one). So, unless someone with more knowledge than I has a suggestion about how to reach him, check the link and you have that option. Good luck, you will ultimately get one I am sure, if you keep trying. Alisa

I've been to his website tonight and everything is listed as sold out. I've sent him an email on 2 separate occasions without a response. I understand he makes a great product and probably is a nice guy but I stand by my statement that he has a screwed up system for ordering. I'll spend my money somewhere else.

It's gone now. I won't argue that the ordering system could use improvements, but it's worth whatever small hassle is involved. His site has a tab for Stock Updates and Pricing - he will list the date and time of the next sale there. Whatever day it is, it usually is at 7PM eastern time, and they don't last long. They do show up in the classifieds here from time to time, too. Good luck whatever your decision.

Rob (REO) is the best...i was able to get a WOOD REO a MINI and a GRAND...just have to be dilligent...if you are not willing to put in the effort, you won't get one...your loss.

...and Rob (REO) provides the best CS once you get his product. I Sent a WOOD REO back out of warranty and he not only repaired FREE of CHARGE but sent me a bunch of free parts (button etc.) free and shipped it for FREE.

Always out of stock....gee I wonder why?

I just got mine today. The best thing to do is go to the website, find the one you want, and have it send you an email when they become available. When they become available, you'll get an email and it will have a link to buy it. When I got an email I had about a 5 minute gap until I locked a black/black(the fastest to go) for myself. I think the people who email get first dibbs because when I checked on the site, it wasn't in stock yet. This thing is like a piece of art and performs awesome!

I'm sorry you feel frustrated. His website is new and improved so it doesn't crash. Unfortunately, the demand is still higher than the supply. He runs his website like any other web vendor and sells his product when he has it available so no one is waiting for it to be built. Currently, they are producing roughly 50 - 100 metal mods per week and selling out within an hour or so. My guess is you must not have been on his site at the time of the sale tonight or you would have gotten one for sure this time as they were there for over an hour. He has posted updates on two threads and on his website days in advance of his sales. You may want to send him a PM or call him on his phone as his number is on the website and let him know your concerns. There is always more than one way to contact ECF vendors. Another route you can take is get one off the classifieds. He sold 50 mods on Monday and 50 again today. I'm sure he'll have another group ready to go early next week. You can find his updates on the Stock Update tab on the front page of his website. At any rate, I wish you luck on your search for your next pv. :)

Unless I'm grossly mistaken, Rob doesn't have anyone helping him out. It takes a lot of time, energy and know-how to create such a successful mod. It's not his fault if demand greatly outweighs supply.

Personally, I wouldn't look anywhere else if I wanted to buy a mod that'll perform and last. I've been using my wood Reo for 7 months now and it has never let me down. It works perfectly - unlike lots of other mods/kits I've tried.

I'm still waiting to get another Reo - it's the only mod I would even consider buying more than 1!

I lucked out and got my mini by going to his site and clicking on the notify me under the color I wanted. I then went to the stock update and made sure I was online and sure enough I was notified even though my mini said out of stock on the website. I immediately clicked on the link provided in my email and about 4 minutes later after registering it was confirmed that it was mine!!! Got it 3 days later and am now happily vaping on my mini.

What you fail to realize is that Rob isn't a business man motivated by profit. He's a craftsman and hobbyist who has designed a highly functional bottom fed juice mod. He enjoys building them and loves that others want and enjoy using them. He does his best to meet the demand and it's an evolving process. Last night's sale was probably the smoothest one yet. He locked down his site while he updated the stock listings and then unlocked it at the PRE-ANNOUNCED time and date. Future sales will probably be conducted similarly.

If you can't take the above factors into consideration and adjust your expectations, that's entirely your loss. Someone more reasonable will gladly buy and enjoy the Reo that you could have bought for yourself.

The eGo-T's are mass produced and sold by multiple vendors. They're probably more up your alley when you're ready to spend your money somewhere else.

He recently brought in a friend who works construction and has been having hard time finding work due to the weak economy. Nothing close to assembly line production, but it does help get mods built and sold faster.

felt exact same way as you and can relate!! was going to post the exact message. was very frustrated with the whole process. especially after trying to get an ali and having the same ......ed issues with the website and purchasing for few weeks...tried the reo site a couple of times to no avail...but really wanted another bottom feed juice mod that is sturdy..i have a phidias and its pretty good but I have been using it every second of the day and while its a beautiful piece not sure the wiring etc is meant to last and kind of waiting for it to stop working sometime soon...I hope this reo mini is good and lasts..this is getting expensive! but can't imagine using anything besides a juice feeder...keep trying hope you get one soon...

The REO sale started at 7pm Eastern last night, and there were REOs available until around 10:54pm Eastern. So while you were writing your post yesterday at 8:43pm Eastern about how hard they are to get, you could have been on the website buying one.

The sale date and time had been listed in several places since Monday or Tuesday well in advance of the sale. It was listed on the the sale thread, mentioned repeatedly on the mega thread, and listed on the reosmods website under the Stock Update section.

The REO has a huge fan base because it is a nearly perfect, all mechanical, juice feeder with craftmanship and support that is second to none. This has created demand greater than supply. The upside is, unlike some vendors, when you do manage to order one, it will be shipped the next day. Rob doesn't sit on your money, making promises that may or may not be fullfilled.

Sorry for your frustration and Rob is the BEST person...BEST supplier EVER!! The proof is the fact that each REO he puts out on the site is gone in a second....which unfortunately is part of your frustration..and probably others. He works hard to make as many as he can. Dont you think he would love to sell a hundreds at a time if he could? Quality NOT quanity is the why REOs are so popular. You got to understand it wasn't always a madhouse on sale day like it is now. Go to page 2 of the thread and you will see that there were just a few of us back then and I'd had to constantly bump the thread so it wouldn't drop out of sight......LOL now it LIVES at the top. If you want one you'll get one eventually. Neither he or REOs are going to disappear anytime soon. You do have the option of the classifieds too.

Best of luck
Gil

I agree with the OP in the fact that I don't plan on playing waiting games for a PV...ever.
That is probably fine for everyone involved, he obviously has enough demand as it is, and I am patient enough to wait till he has a stock....or china comes out with a quality juice feeder.

That being said I can certainly see the appeal of the reo and ali'i (both of which you have to stand around to get) they are unique in design and only a few juice feeders are as loved by their users. If you absolutely can't wait for a reo some people who have the integrity box mod swear by it...there is at least one person on ecf who says it is better than the reo....though in my opinion it doesn't look as nice as a reo.
