Reo grand LP adjustable 510 question

Hey everyone I just got my Reomizer 9 (vector) and when I first put the atty on it didn't fire so I adjusted the 510 and now it does. My question is if it's firing does that mean it's making full contact? Can an atty fire only making partial contact? Please forgive me if I sound dumb.

Ya actually it can. If it has a poor contact it will fire very weak and inconsistent.

Adjust rhe 510 a smidge more and Bob's yer uncle.

Yes sir. I had a problem with my REO outputting a very small amount of vapour when I first recieved it (used). Adjusted the 510 with the provided Allen key and now it hits like a champ.

The only regulated mod I have is lying in pieces lol (old but gold istick 20w)
The last +-2years have been nothing but mech bliss with my 2 Reo Grands and their helpers, namely the dotmod V1 tube and Vanilla tube.
