This just started acting up earlier today. One of my grands seems to have a slight delay when I hit the firing button. Was noticing some miss-fires, but it seems that if I mash the button, then wait to hear the atty sizzle it vapes just fine. If I just put it to my lips and vape like normal I still get some miss-fires. Got a fresh batt and added a bit of noalux to the pin and same deal. Oh, and brand new spring as well. Its not really bothersome, just a little odd.

:) I remove the battery and the atomizer and just hold it under the hot water faucet and give it a good soaking. When it gets too hot to hold, I change hands. Ha. Anyway, it really does a good job of cleaning it. Then re-apply a little Noalox and let it dry for a little while. It seems to help every time. Of course, you can't do this with the Woodvils........ :)

I had this phenomenon happen to me when I first got my REO Grand. Frantically PM'd Rob. In a calming reply he said "Don't worry, send it to me and I'll fix it!" I said that is wonderful, but I bought it new off the classifieds. He said, "But I built it". Then I read and read and vaped and vaped. Gave it a good bath after reading something similar. Haven't had it since. It gets a weekly bath.

yes a bath works mirricals. don't forget to remove the bottle too, otherwise you can toss your liquid :D

Yes, remove the bottle, too. Can't believe I forgot to say that! Ha. How I knew about the "bathing requirements" is similar to RocketRod's story. I actually panicked and sent my REO Grand back to Rob because I couldn't put my finger on it but I just thought "something" was wrong with it. (It seemed to be hesitating before it hit...) and Rob gave it a good hot bath and sent it back to me working perfectly. I felt a little foolish.... :) Anyway, from then on, I've been doing my own hot baths. I figured the postage would begin to get a little steep if I sent it back to Rob every couple of weeks for a good cleaning. Besides, I'm thinking he'd rather I just go ahead and do that bit of maintenance on my own. He was so nice about it.....didn't treat me like a "neurotic new mother" which is exactly how I felt. Ha. Good man.

I wonder if you could throw the reo in the dishwasher without detergent...

Technically you can...however...it is an expensive way to clean your mod. The hot tap water really does a good job. And if you have a lot of extra goo on it...then boiling water and putting it in a bowl to let your mod soak for a few is just as good. No need to waste a wash cycle. :)
