Hi,

I recently received a Reo Grand. (Love it)
I have one small issue with it in that the locking firing button does not lock.
In other words, when in the locked position, there is still enough travel for the firing pin to hit the battery.
I emailed Rob and he said that he will fix it, but I would love a quick fix cuz I don't want to be without it.
He also said that I could try to bend the firing pin upwards with a flat head screwdriver, but that is not working.
Any ideas?
I will look again at bending the firing pin and keep you posted.
I figure someone in here has played around with the button/firing pin.

That pin on the side of the button, if it is pushed in, is what is allowing the button to push downward in the locked position. Not common, but it does happen. Some people actually push that little pin in to stop it from locking. So, I have no experience pulling the pin back out. I'll see if there is a way to do it. The only other option as Rob said is to send it in to him.

The pin in the button would have to be pushed in far enough to let it pass the by the body of the mod....

I've had a couple that are so close that if you pushed the button really really hard while locked it would still fire.

I never lock mine though.

Sounds like your firing pin has just a little too much bend in the end.
I don't think there is any fix unless its taken apart to work on.
If your not completely comfortable doing that sending it back to Rob for a day is your only option IMO.
