I Vape my Grand Underwater while I'm cleaning it!!

(no, just kidding- don't try this at home or anywhere else for that matter!)

Btw, I clean all my metal Reo's with a Sonic Cleaner too- works great- blow out the water, shake it off...dry anything left with a paper towel and she's good to go again...and clean, clean, clean!!

Well, I should have known better. I've been very lax with my cleaning schedule and sure enough, a good hot bath has made all the difference in the world. It still seems odd that a dirty connector would cause that strange firing behavior, but so be it. What I really love about the Grand is that I can literally hold it under a stream of running water to clean it. My question now is, how would I go about getting the same level of cleanliness with a VV Wood, or for that matter a VV Grand? Seems to me that even the VV Grand would not be water safe because of the electronics.

From what I see on the VV there are 3 area's that are in question. The bottom switch, the button and the electronics behind the door. Now mind you, I will not give it a bath, but I will use some hot water. One advantage I will have is an air compressor. I will use tape over the electronics door to further impede water. I will also use PGA in the bottle, with the door on, overflowing the catch cup and scrubbing in the catch cup with a small tooth brush (mod will be upright to use all the fluid). This will require a quick exterior body water rinse. Once cleaned and dried using compressed air, a quick coat of wax will be done. Then back to work for it. I think I will be successful.
