Found an old cell phone holster in a junk drawer. I think that it will have to do for now. It sits horizontally but maybe I can try modifying the clip.

I found one that sits vertical at a local hardware store. Clips on the belt. I did cut the top off but either size Reo fits nice and snug.

Yea agree with cargo pants. I used to be able to wear 511 taclite pants. Pockets for everything. Now I'm in trousers without all my pockets, I had to go a different route.

It would be a simple thing to make kydex holsters for metal REOs. -- And kydex is inexpensive. This might give people some ideas.

If I were going to do that, I might wrap the REO in a piece of tar paper so there would be room to felt line the kydex. Then the holster would not only protect the REO and keep it handy, but also clean the fingerprints off the finish every time it's holstered and unholstered.
