I've been thinking about getting a reo but I'm not clear on how it actually gets the juice up to the atomizer. I take it that the tip of the tube coming from the bottle hooks on to a little needle that squirts juice up the battery hole of the atomizer or carto in effect dripping from the bottom--hence bottom feeder. Do i understand this correctly? Mudflap explained how it works with a carto below-- I think i understand this. Is there somewhere around here with a FAQ type explanation of bottom feeders? and when are the grands going back on sale?

Maybe this will help. juice travels from the bottom, up the air tube, and saturates the batting material around the coil. If you draw on the carto hard enough while squonking, you might get juice in your mouth. The trick is to get the juice to the batting material and no further. While drawing on the carto without squonking, you're just pulling air thru it. That's what you want. The vaporized juice mixes with the air while your inhaling and gives you vap

Yes, that is a pretty good description of how it works.

The Grands are currently scheduled to be on the website 3/26/11. Updates will be posted on this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...dates-sales-information-most-recent-info.html

I found an image of a RN4081 atomizer and butchered it a bit. It originally showed a lot of empty space between the battery connector and ceramic cup. That's misleading, IMO. The ceramic cup pretty much sits right on top the battery connector.

Anyway, with bottom feeding, you squonk juice from the bottom up to the ceramic cup to wet the coil & fiber.

You don't need juice all the way up to the bridge (mislabeled "steel wool" in this image ).

Air holes are just above the threads on the battery connector. If you over-squonk, excess juice will drain out of these into the Reo's reservoir cup. This juice will be sucked back up to the ceramic cup when you draw on it, so it doesn't get wasted. The coil vaporizes your juice and air is mixed with the vapor when you draw on it.

I hope that helps.

It just does.

"He came out of nowhere, with a porcupine hedgehog and WOODS, finally decided that aluminum was gonna be a hit as well. Found a following that even came up with new vocabulary, they ask, "sqounk lately?" If you find yourself having declared yourself tax refundable, and you've got some atomizers lying around, you just might find yourself sqounking here in the twilight..." (couldn't resist)

One thing I noticed though, in my forays in and around the forum, there was talk about 1 hole this, and 2 hole that on the atty's, finally made sense to me with the Reo. From a Reonaut cadet's standpoint I think that vacuum has something to do with it too.
