The wife and I started vaping 1 year ago TODAY with spinners and quickly went to vv/vw mods. Been working great for us and I've been rebuilding PT2 coils for the better part of a year. Using PT2's since it has the glass tank just to avoid messing with plastic tanks fogging over/cracking due to some of the juices we use. Anyway, been reading a lot a putting pieces together, maybe you all can help me fill in some blanks. Sorry...I'm sure much of this is buried in this forum, just haven't found it yet.

1) The Grand, since it's a mech, does battery drain cause any major issues with the juice flavor changing/muting? I generally use VW on my regulated mod, so I don't notice any change except lighter vape when the battery is almost dead.
2) Outside of less vape, is there any other change to let one know battery is about dead?
3) Since I can't set the wattage, should I expect my juices to taste different using a Reo vs my current mod - under the assumption that on a fresh battery the wattage would be higher than what I may currently use.
4) Assuming anything from a 1-2.0 coil build, how long should I expect the recommended battery to last. During a work-day, I can go through 3-5ml even before getting home. A weekend....not as much of a concern since I'd have batteries on a charger.
5) Use of Noalax, is this a regular maintenance? If so, how often?
6) Currently using cotton yarn on my PT2 builds, is this still okay to use or is a cotton ball better for wicking?
7) Based on build video's I've watched, seems the norm is to feed cotton through the coil. Does a cotton cloud work on the BF atty's or just not recommended?
8) What else would cause a spring to drop besides having a really low ohm coil? If I would stay from 1-2 ohm, would I have any issues?
9) I've read the threads about using different BF RBA's such as Cyclone's, Divo's, and Chalice and Igo-S. Do all of these work on the regular grand or only the LP? ...or both with some adapter?
10) The Igo-S on the Reo side does not mention low profile or not...so, does it work with both?
11) Can any other tank atty (example Kayfun or my current PT's) work on these mods? I'm thinking, if I want to use them versus changing out a bottle.
12) Do you all have plenty of extra bottles? Or....do you clean out bottles and just pour in new flavor? I've read where DIY'ers have issues with cleaning out vendor bottles for personal use - hard to get previous flavor out.

13) Lastly...for now since this is getting long, I've also been researching the DNA 30 mods......do any of you have one and if so, what are the differences you've found to sway you into keeping your Reo?

Sorry for the length of this. Any and all help is appreciated. I figure after a year, it's time the wife and I treat ourselves and as such, I need to be informed BEFORE dropping the $$$.

Kind of the same thing we notice a drop off in performance around 3.7 volts and then change batteries

2) Outside of less vape, is there any other change to let one know battery is about dead?
You don't vape until the battery is dead you should change when the vape drops, I change batteries every morning and every afternoon, some do at a half a bottle or full bottle of juice usage. You'll quickly develop a feel for the right time to change

3) Since I can't set the wattage, should I expect my juices to taste different using a Reo vs my current mod - under the assumption that on a fresh battery the wattage would be higher than what I may currently use.
By changing what ohm you build a coil to you can control the wattage, use 4.2 volt in this calculator Online Conversion - Ohm's Law Calculator Most people find they get more flavor from the juice and also vape more, so they end up dropping their nic level

4) Assuming anything from a 1-2.0 coil build, how long should I expect the recommended battery to last. During a work-day, I can go through 3-5ml even before getting home. A weekend....not as much of a concern since I'd have batteries on a charger.
1 to two, carry a spare and you'll be set

5) Use of Noalax, is this a regular maintenance? If so, how often?
Yes it's a good idea to help maintain top performance. Use it when ever you give the Reo a bath. Depending on how low an ohm coil and what kind of juice the clean schedules vary. Some people do it once a month, I do it every week or two.

6) Currently using cotton yarn on my PT2 builds, is this still okay to use or is a cotton ball better for wicking?
that will be fine

7) Based on build video's I've watched, seems the norm is to feed cotton through the coil. Does a cotton cloud work on the BF atty's or just not recommended?
Some people do that, you have to make sure that your cotton does not block the drain hole on the deck of the RBA

8) What else would cause a spring to drop besides having a really low ohm coil? If I would stay from 1-2 ohm, would I have any issues?
It's a hot spring and acts as a fuse so any short will cause it to drop

9) I've read the threads about using different BF RBA's such as Cyclone's, Divo's, and Chalice and Igo-S. Do all of these work on the regular grand or only the LP? ...or both with some adapter?
Yes all of those will work on a regular. When you go wider than 14mm is when you need an LP. IF you add an Air Flow Control cap to the Cyclone then you'd need an LP

10) The Igo-S on the Reo side does not mention low profile or not...so, does it work with both?
Yes it will

11) Can any other tank atty (example Kayfun or my current PT's) work on these mods? I'm thinking, if I want to use them versus changing out a bottle.
I cannot think of why, but yes the Reo can act as just a battery. Remember the drip well size of 14mm so some of those might need a short 510 extension

12) Do you all have plenty of extra bottles? Or....do you clean out bottles and just pour in new flavor? I've read where DIY'ers have issues with cleaning out vendor bottles for personal use - hard to get previous flavor out.
You'll get two and for some people this is enough, I've got plenty of extras, they're cheap

13) Lastly...for now since this is getting long, I've also been researching the DNA 30 mods......do any of you have one and if so, what are the differences you've found to sway you into keeping your Reo?
Get any juice or water on the DNA and it's dead. Drop it too many times and it's dead. I can build a coil to get any vape I like. Drop a Reo in a bucket of water, dry it off and keep going. There are even pictures around of one that took a tumble off a cycle doing 45 mph, it's got some road rash but still works great.

Yeah man, just get one for you and the wife, you won't regret it. I don't have any answers except that nothing I've tried comes anywhere close to the vape it provides, but I'm also not into the fancy stuff. Plus I like to vape and the beach and in the tub, or in the hot tub, or poolside or wherever so that was a big factor for me!

The hot tub was the deciding factor for me too.

LOL well I don't have one, but my family does. I guess I've been vaping all these tropical fruit juices lately that have me dreaming of summer...and it will be my first summer vaping, and I spend a lot of time on the water. And if I'm honest with myself...I'm sooo clumsy.

Thanks for answering all my questions so completely. I figured I'd get some generic responses. Much appreciated!!

What are the dimensions of the grand and the mini? Didn't see those on the site.

Based on the responses from FB...is there any reason to get the LP over the regular. Seems all the atty's that are being discussed are 14mm ...outside of those with AFC. Maybe this is the defining point to get the LP - the AFC option.

Any issues with leaking out of the drip well on the LP?

We spend a lot of time on the lake in the summers, and up in the mountains, and Dollywood (you can't live thisclose and not have a season pass, haha.) I too am clumsy, so it's perfect. Not to mention all the summer cocktails outside and I talk with my hands.......you get the picture. :)

I typically answer it the other way. The only reason to get a regular instead of an LP is if you plan to use regular atomizers or cartos that need a drip well. The LP will allow to run any RBA in future. So if the best ever is released in two months but it's 15mm then it would not fit a regular Reo. If you do go with LP then go with the LP RM2, both work but the LP RM2 will look better on an LP Reo.

No issues with leaking from the drip well, most of us put a small o-ring under the RBA that seals the juice patch from the Reo into the RBA and allows a little bit a flexibility in how the RBA is positioned.

Perfect, now if they only offered more color options for the LP's and mini's (which I think my wife would love). I am really digging that Black wrinkle with copper vein door as well as the complete silver vein setup.

email Rob or pm him here on the site, I got myself a Black Wrinkle LP coming with a copper vein door. He's super awesome.

Welcome Taylor7617 :)

Thanks...........thinking it won't be long now.

Read a thread that the copper vein is subject to some discoloration/tarnishing. Anything to prevent this? Assume same would go for the silver vein. Also, anyone have a pic of black wrinkle with copper vein door with a Brass RM2 and brass button cover?

Still unsure what to get...if the "vein" colors don't hold up well.......maybe just a simple black wrinkle to start off with.

Black Wrinkle is my personal favorite and a very tough finish with a good grip not slippery at all. Yes the Copper vein will darken. There has been success in painting over it with a clear coat to keep it from oxidizing as soon as you get it. I'm not sure about the silver.

Not exactly what you want but close, Black with copper door and black button.

Might want to consider Hammertone as an option.
