Pretty Cool change! Must vape like a smokestack! I tried mwa102464's o-ring #78 idea, on the mini and it works well. It stops any leaking if you set it on the passenger seat and also causes a little vacuum so that it sort of auto feeds. You place it at the bottom of the atty just flush or a tad lower into the drip cup so you still get a draw. If you raise or lower it, you can adjust from a easy to harder draw, depending on your preference.

Very cool Pack- nice work! Looks like the slot on the backside was meant to be there...anyway, I'm curious too about a stronger hit than the 14500's.

Just thought of something else- how about 2 doors- one on each side...one the original for squonking and the other, interchangeable for the 14500 battery (solid) or slotted for the 18490 battery.

REOnauti hi,

I'm testing some things, to improve the firing pin, I did this today, thanks to some ideas that @ Strpswpr give me, thx buddy.:D

I wrapped some copper wire around the firing pin ..... and so far, even without noalox, REo is firing like a monster. - Ouch!

Let's make Reo mini, a real dragon.:laugh:

Before milling I was careful to measure and make the 14500, so it fits and fires very well .

What's the copper wire for? Is it not making contact with the new battery?

without the copper wire makes contact well ... but I want even better.

Due to the larger battery 18490, we have two problems;

1) the 18490 pole doesn't penetrate as much as 14,500 in the hole the firing pin ..... besides having a slightly sanded the piece that covers the firing pin, as I showed a few posts ago ...... I wrapped the copper wire, that helps to bring the two poles, so avoid, having to press the button too much to botton.

2) the center of the pole of 18490, no longer has the same 14500 alignment, with the tip of the firing pin ....so i have 2 solutions; or moved in the firing pin, a little cutting edge to the back ..... or winding the copper wire , that creates a larger contact face, with this last solution is already firing like a Dragon.:)

you can see by the photo, the center of the hole that was milled, is now more aligned to the left of the tip of the firing pin ..... that was designedby Rob, for the center of 14500 batteries

A more complicated solution would be milling side plate inside the REO, to place the center of 18490, equal to 14500 .... but it would have been a work even harder than I did, because the center of the hole from below, would then another position

clear, that even without wind the copper wire, was firing, but now even better with him ......... I hope I have made to understand me.

:D

Got it.....I'm just thinking you might be able to put a bend in the firing pin to change the position...not sure though.

Maybe.

I put now a magnet in battery pole , keeping the copper wire on firing pin and even without noalox is .....really ....really firing awesome......I'm very happy now! :D......but need vaping tomorrow with this, to see if don't lose this initial performance.

:D

And the point to the moding is?

You do know that Rob is going to be building a 18490 mod don't you.

My self and a few other ECF vets have been working on this with him for some time now.

Just asking. :)

I like what he's doing...Whats wrong with a little change....Maybe he might have a good idea. Keep it up Path21....I dig it.

I'm really not crazy about the copper wire....I'm thinking if the firing pin is bent strategically you might be able to manipulate it correctly.

I was just sharing my mod, sorry.

When Rob launch a mini 18490 , I will buy one for sure.....:)

Dont be sorry I was just asking where you were going with this. Moding brings new ideas to the table. I have moded a few REO's in my time and some of my ideas have made it to Robs work bench and are in use today by many REO users.

I say go for it. I am interested in seeing the end results. I do like the concept of the 18350 and the 3ml juice bottle.

I hope what I said didn't come off wrong. I wasn't implying you were slamming anyone. I'm a Custom Motorcycle Builder....on the side....I mod everything I touch so this is something that interests me. I truly believe that there is NOTHING that can't be improved upon. The Reo Mini, as far as I'm concerned is perfect for me. I think the battery life is fine and I can't imagine why you would need more but Path21 needs it....so go to it. My recommendations are just that.....recommendations or should I say suggestions. So, no hard feelings....I'm cool. Hope everyone else is too.

I am cool, the new 18490 was in consept due to a few of use REO/ECF Vet not liking to change out batterys or bottle at differant times. I do think the 18490 will bring a little more heat to the Mod. I love a hot mod and use AW's with Cisco 1.5 attys one of the hottest combos you can get.

I love seeing stuff moded and look forward to seeing the end results. Who knows it may just make it to Robs work bench one day. :) I wold buy one for sure. Heck if he wont to build a 2nd one I may just send him one of my Mini's

What do you think pack do you wont to do a 2nd one would love to have one. :)

I'm also a good guy, I think .... lol

I only have done all the updates I have done, I just started this two days ago.... and just picked up a bit at night.

Why did this, and where I want to go;

a) I have a provari, so I know the importance, that the strength of the batteries have in vaping performance. why not have it in the mini?

b) GRAND (18690 AW) is too big for me, get me up to 3 ml at bedtime. wouldn't be happy with a GRAND.

c) From the beginning, I have wondered why I had to put noalox to have a good fire.....i have missfires without that. Why?

At this moment, the results of the mod, with the previous points are;

a) Done! ......... now I have a mini with an AW 18490 and this is reflected in vaping experience.

b) done! I am no longer forced to use a GRAND and a 6ml bottle, I can use a similar battery AW 18690 in mini.

c) In tests!..... I'm pretty sure I suspect that the use of Noalox should be due to missing configuration of the tip of the firing pin ... and not to lack of Noalox ..... I love the concept of the firing pin , IS AWESOME !..... but something is not right with the tip or nozzle of the same ...... this time with a wire wrapped in metallic tip and a magnet to the pole of the battery, without Noalox or any kind of similar thing, I got a configuration that has given me AWESOME fires, but still I have a few more days of testing to prove ..... also believe Noalox can improve something (I'm waiting for my order )..... but is there anything with the tip of of the firing pin .... let's see ....(Of course, I am referring too, before starting the mod).

MXBNW, moding is nice, but just doing our for fun, to do for others, is already start being a boring job ...... eheheh:D

I also am of those who want to buy Rob a REO MINI AW 18490 done by his hands.:nun:
