Try a scrape on the tip of the firing pin where it contacts the positive nipple of the battery. Sometimes they get gunked up and don't make a good contact. One more thing. Is the battery sitting secure on the spring? Does it rattle around?

What he means by scrape is take the battery out then push down on the the firing button so that the pin is poking out inside then take a nail file and give it a couple of good scuffs then you'll need to apply some noalox to the tip you just scuffed if you don't have any it can be purchased at places like Home Depot in the electrical section

I would suggest giving your Reo a bath. Then gently sand the firing pin. Apply Noalox to the firing pin, hot spring where it contacts the batt, and both ends of the batt. Then I would check the firing voltage with this 510voltmeter.jpg

then check your atty with this cartatommeter1.jpg

Both are available at RTD Vapor. A multi-meter will work also.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the welcome. I'm looking forward to being a part of this. I'm actually doubling down. Rob's gesture to help me got me off the fence about getting a Mini 2.1.

That's it. Way to go. Nothin like the feeling of receiving a brand new REO. Congrats!
