Holy $#!+!!! How have I not seen these before? Were they plated or all nickel?

I remember someone saying, that Rob had a lot of problems with those, I think they were all nickel but:unsure:

I heard the same from an owner of one of them KAS.

The picture I posted was of the nickel plated run... I believe the only run of them he did. And there were not very many of them... seems like someone told me 20ish.

:2c:I have an original nickel mini 14500 and it was plated. I know this because some of the plating has started to come off in some of the typical locations- around the catch cup, by the button, etc. Not too shabby for 5 years use though:headbang: (not all by me:blush:) and the rest still looks like your peeking into a mirror (a tiny 14500 one). Cool finish if you're not too OCD:drool: (fingerprint magnet)

That does make more sense that it was plated, I would think that a solid one would be a bit costly. I think they were being made before I had even heard of vaping. My first vape ever was Thanksgiving of 2012, I did not find a ego until March of 2013, and quit smoking in April 2013. :)

I think Rob quit making them because of the nickel plating peeling. They sure look good tho.
Robert was sending all the REO's out for anodizing at the time the Nickle Mini's were made. They went out also. The problem was a costly loss due to a lack of the quality (from the anodizer) that Robert insisted in having for us Reonauts. The run size was small because most were not fit to sell.

Robert tends to learn well and did not choose to try any more Nickle REO's.

There are some Brass Mini's still on site. They are NOT plated.
