1) locking mechanism is ingenious

2) constant contact on the batteries!! No more pitting in the positive terminal!

3) I was wondering if it's possible to tweak the contact points between the firing pin and the one attached to the feed tube to increase the surface area...? I've always felt that the rounded ends essentially restricts the contact area to just a line and wouldve affected the conductivity. The fact that you've essentially removed the variability of the battery's positive end (button top vs flat top) makes it the perfect oppty to make this tweak

Our Italian friends also noticed the P67. Antinio is the man who makes the bottles and is the seller of many mods in Italy. The P67, like the original REOs is something I think the vaping world at large is highly interested in. People know Rob and his work is world class.

With my memory I could be wrong, but I think that in this thread somewhere, the dims for the P67 are listed.
If memory serves me it is basically the same dimensions as the new Woodvil, but I don't have one anymore to compare it to... That is why I asked Rob for a side x side...

Looks like a metal Woodvil. The comfort of a Woodvil with the endurance of a Grand. Plus improved contacts and switch.
This could be something worthy of the dropping / running board bouncing / floor board dribbling that my Grand has enjoyed across many Interstate highway.

Thank you
Yes you could increase the surface area the contacts are copper and you can manipulate it . I can fill you in on a little secrete more surface area sounds nice . What really happens is the two contact points connect at one small spot and in most cases your not getting a solid contact on the larger surface area . The two contacts would have to be mated perfectly and in the case of a mod were the battery is one of these contacts a large contact is pretty much useless . If you could get a engineer some one with way more ability then the average mod builder I am sure they could get better results .

Good explanation. If you did get the two surfaces perfectly mated, you'd have to be careful because any knock, or bump, could tweak one or the other of the surfaces out of spec and you'd then have a smaller are of contact, and a less solid point of contact. I guess this is pretty much what Rob said :) I just wanted to point out that it might be a finicky set up.

I've been stock piling parts for the Grand. Will the same firing pin work for the P67?
I don't have a Woodville, so the side button is new to me.
Does the leaf on the pos pin "index", so it maintains the correct contact, with the firing pin?
Lastly is a total SL body in the future? Maybe a top button version?
    Love the new styling...

I have spread the good news in my european squonker groups ... german and UK squonkers are waiting for the payday...

I am sure that you fairly quickly need a second batch Rob^^
pretty sure Rob said this first batch is limited to USA, with a special reserve for Ohio and whatever BOGO is.....:)

    right..

    Ummm, just wondering.

Are the contact points in this new model of the same BeCu material that was in the upgrade for the previous models about a year or so ago? Won't potential arcing issues still be an issue?

    Thanks.

Hey brother! All contacts arc. Every single one of them. They will still require deoxit or noalox on the contact - more frequently commensurate with lower resistance builds but this design means that pitting of batteries should be a thing of memory. My guess is also since the contacts are between two same metals the results will be better than when between dissimilar metal contact between contact and battery

That is all well and good but it does not answer whether or not the contacts are of the BeCu material.

Rob will know. The possibility exists that you may not.

My question stands. I'm just a damned old retired engineer. My 8 Grands and Woodvils work adequately so I have no great need for more.

    Over and out.
