Yeah I'm pretty excited. I may sell my grands in favor of the P67, because I love the form factor of woodvils much more than grands personally. I do wish there was a way to put an oring under the button like I do on grands, to make button mashing a non issue.
I made the mod so you really cant mash the button and you can still put a o ring under the button

Wait--are there no wires, like in a woodvil? I assumed so but in looking at pics I'm thinking no wires?

Shouldn't need wires. As with a grand, the body would act as a conductor to complete the circuit.

Even the 2015 woodie, with a mechanical switch, has wires to the contacts because wood is prohibitively resistant.

Right, I forgot about that...

So the P67 should be every bit as durable as a grand if not moreso :w00t:

That's really neat; I've never seen nor used something like that before. Quite interesting though.
Hey subway! REOs are fantastic! I'd heard about em for years, but never wanted to build coils etc. When I decided with govt interference, I needed a mech and would have to learn to build coils, diy etc, I knew the only mech I was interested in was a REO. I was fortunate to get a REO and I've never looked back! Several of us on the porches are Reonauts. You're welcome to hang out in the REO lounge, or post any questions you might have in the forum. Reonauts are like porchers, they're the best bunch of folks, and are very happy to tell ya anything ya wanna know.

Thanks Deb will do. Learn about and possibly pick one up. Appreciate the invite and see you over there. It was quite interesting reading through the link that you left me about the new P67 REO coming out. I agree with you that the person has built a well made unit.

Jup......Rob (Redeyedancer) is amazing. He's very active here in the forum, you can always pm him or even call him, he loves to talk to reonauts. He loves his hooples hehehe that's his "pet" name for us. Don't wanna seem pushy, I just love REOs! Can't help but get excited when someone seems interested in em. :)

No worries Deb, I don't consider you being pushy at all just helping inform me on something I asked a question about and have shown interest; much appreciate your helping me learn about the unknown. :)

I only have one issue with the P67.......
Justifying it to my wife.

Go back to April last year.

Me: I want to buy one of those Reo Grands
Wife: How much?
Me: $150
Wife: how (insert expletive here) much?
Me: $150 but I have done my research, it is very durable, it will work and keep on working, it won't need replacing in a few months time. Its a one off purchase it will work out cheaper in the end.

As predicted the Grand is performing true to form, exactly as expected, flawless.

doh!

But it's lonely, don't you hear it crying in the middle of the night when you're asleep? It needs a friend or two (or twelve) to keep it company!
