I would like to add if anything like this ever happened... a reo put through abuse to prove the point and made its way... i would purchase said reo as is... hmmm if it was labeled and made to be the Crash Test Reo... that would be even cooler!!! Of course the CTR would have to come with the videos on a sd card or something like that... would have to have them able and ready to show to anyone, at any point...

I would also buy the mod.

Does anyone know of any Reo stress test videos? I've heard some pretty crazy stories, I would imagine you could make the videos become pretty ridiculous with what the device is going through. It would be incredible publicity for the device. Something like the "will it blend" videos. Over the top to show the quality of a product.

I've followed all your posts on the forum and you have been given some incredible first hand knowledge from longtime and recent Reo owners and links to endless testimonials and instructional data. You still seemed torn that a Reo may not match up to a Provari.
As the proud owner of both, I can unequivocally tell you that the Provari although a fine product can not match a Reo in functionality and durability in a "stress" test. Not trying to be harsh, just an honest comparison. In the end you have to weigh the pros and cons and decide. I think you have obtained more definitive information on the Reo from our members than you could get anywhere else.

Wow....my oldest Reo has gone flying of the mower, been attacked by my rooster, has also been thrown at said rooster, dropped in dishwater, has made many falls to the floor, the cats love to bat it over, fell in the toilet (not going to explain :D ) The dog chewed on it when he was a pup. Not many mods can endure what that Grand has!!

I want to add after 2 years of abuse I finally rebuilt it, not because it needed it but just to refresh it for hubby who finally started vaping, now I am not sure it can live through him with plasma cutters and welders and metal slag......but we shall see!

Ok I won't even go into detail as to how many times my reos have been dropped skidding down the road bouncing all the way thats nothing one has been run over by a car and then spit out from under the tire bouncing all the way till it stopped a hundred feet or so away one has fallen in the toilet and a pile of dog .... someone else did the toilet thing too  theres no need to stress test them I do that daily drop a provari in .... give it a thorough bath and see if it fires  No bashing here its just the honest truth right :D

Many, many, many REO owners here on the forum and other forums have been using their REO's daily for 1, 2, 3+ years, as attributed by the hundreds/thousands of posts about it. In addition, there are countless posts of the daily abuse their poor REO's suffer, only to shrug it off and keep on truckin like new.

Due to the aforementioned posts, you see a "metric ... ton" of comments each day of folks saying they want to get a REO or they just bought their first REO. Thus, the stress test videos are unneeded because people already know what the REO can do and what it can take.

I too, have been following your posts here on ECF so in conclusion, if you are truly interested in a REO then get one. Give it an honest shot, and if after your own "stress tests" you don't care for it, put it on the classies. It will sell within a matter of hours and you will only be out a few hours of your time and maybe a few bucks. Then you can finally tell yourself and the rest of the world that you believe with all your heart that the Provari is better.

Cheers.

Yeah, I've started about 5 haha..I can't figure out how to delete the old ones once a question has been answered..I don't intend to dilute the sub-forum.

You haven't posted since last night - I hope that you haven't felt discouraged from posting here! You can't delete threads, only staff can do that.

Did your REO ship today to hopefully arrive by Friday?

Best of all is how easy to repair they can be. Popular opinion had it that Justice and i were the hardest on them, along with Pietro. But my original - all day beater looks great with some paint, a j-wrap and a new connector on it.

So here we go again for a few more years!

There is not a regulated mod ever made that can handle the abuse i have come to expect my reo to tolerate day in and out.

I got an email later in the afternoon today saying that it did ship. I'm not sure if it actually left the post office today, or it just got dropped off. Either way weather permitting hopefully I'll have it by saturday.

I nearly broke the hood of my car trying to close it with a reo placed near the hinge. No harm to the reo. But my tungsten carbide wedding ring has given the reo a beating with all the scratches. I thought ahead though. My reo is a blemished one. I already knew it would get scratched

When Robert prints the shipping label PayPal sends you an email saying it has shipped and gives you tracking. It might not actually get to the P.O. that day. Sometimes he prints labels in the wee hours of the morning.

Just check the tracking and you can see when it arrives and is scanned into the P.O.

Make sure someone is there to sign when delivered.
