Amazing...I went back home and I tried swapping the doors of my two Reos and all of a sudden a magnet popped out ....from the door of my Problem free Reo!!! So I took the door of my other one (the one with the problem) and bent it a tad bit ...and voila!!!...problem solved!! Only gripe is I can't play with the door since it's somewhat more difficult to slide it up and down. Now I have to apply super glue to the magnets of my other two Reos.

Tamer, my old reo door had a magnet pop out once. I glued it in but I was a noob at the time and used too much. So the magnet protruded. Gave it a good sanding and was all good.

Been busy lately should have my new/old Reo that I got from the classies here in about a week..will get the super glue part then. I don't foresee a problem really..you guys shared with me all there is to know I guess.

Not necessarily. I can't remember why Rob introduced those once he went to gold plated. Someone else must know. But as it says on the site:

These are thicker contacts this will make pushing the button harder . I wouldnt even try these without a button cover . It will take some time for these to break in .

Maybe they hold up better for people who are real button mashers.

People were breaking the standard contacts; especially the hard 'button mashers', and those who were using flat top batteries in grands. The REOs were designed for button top batteries. Flat tops require the contact to bend more than is required for button tops, which can eventually lead to breakage. This is part of the reason for the heavy duty contacts. Plus, some people just like a harder button press.

I actually bought one to try out cause I thought I was a button mashing hoople, come to find out I wasn't... I thought I was going to break my finger when I started mashing the button!!!

The trick is to put a slight bend in the HD contact.

That is inserted into the bottom of your feed tube. It's used if you are having feeding/squonking problems when using really thin high PG liquids.

It's a dual problem really. I have spare magnets and today I got a Reo from the classies that had no magnets on the door. This part is easy if I'm careful with the polarity I guess. One of my other Reos has a couple of weak magnets on the door. It's a bit annoying since it slides up a bit when I'm holding it and firing it. So I thought of changing the magnets on that door while I'm at it. Seems I'll try the boiling water thing, then the acetone and hope they pop out.

actually that's how I fixed it The magnets - in the case of the Reos - are not essential. Mine works fine now

And also if you live somewhere nice and warm where any liquids thin. e.g. Texas in August when full on 90% VG juice can get a bit leery.

Hello--I've been away a year and now that I'm back, I see a new REOS mod-P67. Is there anyone with arthritis in their hands and fingers who can tell me if this one is easier to squonk and push the power button? I LOVE my LP grand, but it is harder and harder to use it. TIA
