Rather than big fingers, I've been gently using needle nose pliers.
I had to put off attempts cause of family matters and a christening today, but will keep trying.

Hot water and needle nose pliers seem to be the way to go. Felt like I almost had it yesterday, but had to put aside./

I can't wait till I can report that success was mine........

Thank you all!

Euraka!

Just got it in about 20 minutes ago by carefully inserting one end of the needle nose pliers into the tube while running hot water over it.....

I had put it away for a couple of days, and thought just let me try this ONE MORE TIME! Well, it heard me, and in it went!

Thank you to all for your suggestions! Each one helped! :) :)

Great!! Glad you got it finally! You must have just had a really tight one. Hopefully you won't have any more issues. Just don't stretch the tube out too much!

Welp, my 510 pin finally gave up the ghost - apparently breaking just below the contact. Of course I have no repair kit on hand so was wondering...I have a Peko 510 and it looks like it will fit. Has anyone replaced the old 510 with the Peko 510? I'll need to drill the contact a big bigger to fit the end of the screw and maybe need a small nut to keep it tight...if this is more trouble than that just say - fuggitaboutit and order a repair kit from Rob.

I polished the door on my tumbled, a while back. I plan to do the body, some day; but I've been too lazy. I do it the old fashioned way. Take it apart, and wet sand it in the kitchen sink, under trickling water, with wet/dry sandpaper. Start with #600, then #1000 or #1500, then finish with #2000 or #2500. It's aluminum, so it goes fairly quickly. When you're done, you'll be able to see your face in it.

I received my P67 today from the sale last Friday, I'm loving it but color me stupid; could someone please tell me where the on/off switch is? Thanks!

It's inside, at the top. There's a black plastic piece that slides sideways, to go in between the top of the battery and the contact. You have to push the battery down a little, and then slide the lock to the right.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I believe I'm missing something.
