Hello Reonaughts

My names Ross and I'm new here. Been vaping a while but just got my first reo, a black anodised Grand. I also received a Reomiser 2, but I can't get it to work with the Grand. As far as I'm aware, its a standard RM2, not the LP version.

When I try and screw it into the cupholder, it only does 1 full turn before it meets resistance, like the threads are damaged or something. I've inspected it with a jewelers magnifier and I can't see any damage. The RM2 will screw into my ego, lavatube, ohmeter with no problem. I can also screw in any other 510 atomiser into the Grand with no issues (I'm using a 306 in it right now). The two just don't seem to like each other. It's all microcoiled up and ready to go. Help!!!:(

Do you have a way to add a picture of the RM2? I can not imagine why both (the RM2 and Reo) would work with others but not each other. A reqular RM2 is milled down at the base of the atomizer to fit in the cup of the Reo. An LP RM2 is in original form and is not milled at the bottom.

Yours may be silver at the top. But does the bottom of the RM2 look like this?

I did email Rob at his shop yesterday but I've not heard from him. Does he preferred to be contacted through ECF? I figured he'd just be busy making more Reo's. The RM2 kinda sits a little squint once its in one turn and wont go any further. I havent forced it either, I don't want to strip any threads. I have a 510 extension cup, which fits fine. Maybe just a fair extra bit of height for a squonk.

Yep, mine has the brass band. Here is a photo:

The center post sticking out the bottom looks a bit slanted. Also, so does the pic you just posted of it on the Grand. Hmmmm.......but you say it threads on to other mods with no problem.........hmmmm......I'm thinking......

I find that when first starting to screw the RM2 on to my Grand, i have to line it up just right. My only guess is that somehow, it is getting crossthreaded right when you start to screw it on. If you were a noob, I would have more faith in this conclusion, but I see you have been vaping a while. Try it over and over again just to make sure you have it lined up properly. It's the only thing I can think of right now. You've probably tried a million times already, but again, it's all I can think of.

I wish I was a noob, just in receipt of a reo grand - I would have been well on my way. I'm usually over at UK Vapers, but they don't have much of a reo following there, people are always asking for them in the classifieds though.

I think I'll just wait to hear from Rob. Still puzzled about the fitting though, it doesn't make any sense. Glad I'm not doing anything wrong

Apart from the little threading issue, I'm 100% pleased with my new Reo Grand. I'm running the RM2 in an extension cup, with a 1.4ohm microcoil and it's producing vapour like a steam train. The flavour is spot on as well. I'm also suprised that my pretty average battery still reads 3.9v after a whole day of vaping on it! Although my black anodised box is looking a little like a walkie-talkie, I'm thinking of some ways I can pimp my vape :2cool:
