It arrived this evening! As everyone has said, it's a beautiful mod! I love the black wrinkle finish and it looks like it will take a beating, which is one of my main reasons for getting it!

Built a simple spaced coil out of 28 gauge kanthal. I've been fussing over height of the coil and have modified it since these were taken. Coil came out right at 1.2 ohms.

So far, I've gone through half a bottle of juice and I'm really enjoying it. Still need to dial in the flavor as it seems a bit muted. But that's probably my inexperience building for the RM2.

Very happy!!

Congrats on the great looking Reo and Welcome to Reoville.

If your RM2 is like all of mine the air hole is not dead center between the posts, its towards the drain hole. Next build try having the coil pushed to left, towards the drain hole. You also might want to get the wraps a bit closer together so more wraps get good air flow.

Play with placement of the coil because a mm change in position can produce a big change. When I first get a new RBA I probably go through 2 or 3 coils a day until I get it dialed in.

I see you drilled the air hole already, that's good. For flavour you need the coil very close to the air hole, like right on it but without shorting out to the cap, and a good place to start height wise is to have the air hole smack on the center of the coil. A bit higher for more throat hit, and a bit lower for less. Nice coil you have there too.

Edit - actually I never put the center of my coils below the air hole so I don't really know what happens there, but definitely more throat hit if you raise it. Lovely rig you got there too!

Thanks for the info!

I've re-built the coil using 29 gauge kanthal and am liking the results much better. I've also gone away from the larger diameter coil (the first was wrapped around a #6-32 machine screw. I've now wrapped around a 5/64 drill bit and made it a contact coil.

I'm now getting much better vapor and more flavor. Still not up to my Erlk, but much better. With a little tweaking I think I can get it dialed in!

My air hole seems to be a little bit toward the drain hole as well, and with my latest coil, I pulled it that way a bit and it seems to be better.

Ya.. I like to tinker so I can see myself building a lot of coils over the next couple days to get it just how I like it!

I may try to get one of these new ones coming out if I get one I do if I don't I don't.
Currently not interested in a metal one.

A wood or a resin wolfy? I think the very first resins will run out quick, but after that will probably be more accessible. The woods are always hard to get because Rob does those himself!! He trusts no one else.

I finally got things working how I like! Good flavor, lots of vapor!

It's weird. My coil developed a hot leg after an hour of vaping or so. I've never had a coil do that before. Usually, if I work the hot legs out when I build it, it's fine. I was able to rewick and fix it, but it was odd.

Anyway, loving the Reo. I already feel more attys calling my name. Especially the Nuppin...
