Chris/Dan - Do you plan on getting replacement tubes for the Stardust any time soon? I know most of the Stardust you have sold do not have the crack issue but I'm sure there are a few folks in the same boat as me out of the second batch that had them come in the package with hairline cracks straight out of the package. They weren't DOA so I know I'm SOL getting them replaced but if you could please have your supplier toss a hundred or so extra tubes in with your next shipment and sell them at a fair price I would gladly grab a few.

Would this interest anyone else?

Sethenes - Yes they can be removed but if you don't like to tinker and mod things then it's not for the faint of heart. Many of us around here like to tweak things so taking one of these apart we take for granted because it's not that hard if you do these kind of things.

If you do decide you want to take them apart, keep looking in the threads because the hammer technique is obsolete now. That was just the first attempt Antfuzz did and it got the ball rolling. The best way I have used is to "press" the innards out with a drill press and a 1/4" rod. The latest technique folks are removing the bottom metal ring first then pulling the tube off. I can't do this because all my tubes have small fractures and it'll break them even further. Do some digging and you will find a video RR and someone else recently posted.

So let me ask a possibly stupid question.. does this work on the lower ohm versions or not? My understanding is that the top does not, in fact, wiggle off as easily in the lower ohm version. My understanding, from watching the threads, is that this second batch is assembled much tighter and makes pulling the tube off much more difficult and more prone to cracking.

I saw a video on taking this version apart, but it involved tools that I have no hope in ever owning.

What say you, vaping community?
