Hi folks,

I just bought my first 501 atomizers and cartomizers for my GLV2 at 3.7 volts. I've been vaping 2.5 years, starting with the "classic pen-style" 801s and so have stuck with them since the beginning. (Like all good vaporers, I lay in supplies!)

I'll report on my experience between the two, but thought I would ask others their experiences with different atomizers first.

I bought empty cartomizers, two LR atomizers, and 2 regular. I see already dripping might be an issue with the plain atomizers (of course, I don't have a 501 drip-tip too).

My GLV2, which I think I've had a bit over 6 months and use exclusively (it has the old, non-adjustable head cap) continues to work absolutely perfectly with no misfirings or anything. Pure quality!

Also... when should I buy new batteries? I have two pair now that seem to be working just as well as when new....

Edit: I should add: it was purely coincidence, but when I bought my GLV2 I also placed my first order with Ms. T's Bakery juices.... ...I've never even considered buying another brand since. Except once, and it was clearly inferior.

I've tried popular bottom feeders and VVs and nothing beats my GLVs. I'm not a fan of dripping but when I do drip, I like IkenVape atomizers more than any other brand. Better taste, better vapor, just better overall for me.

I primarily use cartos. I've been completely underwhelmed by the CE2s, clearos, Fluxos, and everything else that's supposed to be the best thing ever. I prefer Boge cartos over everything else for price & performance. I get mine fromPureSmoker and use LR on my 3.7v Mini & Super Mini and SR on my 5v GLV2s.

Product description:
1 x Boge 510 Cartomizer- Sold individually, $1.49 ea.
Available In:
Low Resistance: 1.9 - 2.1 ohms (Best at 3.7v or below) [Can be used at 3.7v or below. Not to be used on High Voltage Devices]
Standard Resistance: 2.9 - 3.1 ohms [Good at most all voltages]

I my self use ether 1.5ohm LR 306s or 510 attys and love the throat hit and vapor production I get from them. I can't give an opinion on cartomizers as the filler in all the ones I've tried make me cough. Although I have heard the 510 (808 Style) GLV sells have a different type filler so I'll have to try some, but dripping is just not a issue for me, and I think it gives you a purer vaping experience.

Well theirs my :2c:

Thanks for these great tips and pointers.

After one day... well, I do seem to like the cartomizer. Especially when driving. I never did quite master dripping and driving and so did without, or pulled over somewhere.

However, I also still like the 801 for quick shifting of flavors since I'm dripping. There is a difference in flavor/vapor between the two types, but it is so nuanced I'm not sure how to describe it, maybe with more experience. I think I like the variety this produces.

So, I think I like both, and see myself carrying both with me and switching between the two styles depending on what I'm doing.

Now, a question though: the 501 cartomizers have this bad, soft-rubbery, pain in the, flat tip. It has to be kind of peeled off to refill, and pushes into the tube easily. Are there other, better tips for 501, similar to how there are now drip tips?

The plain 501s I got will just be backups. I'd have to take stuffing out of older 801 cartridges to even use them without dripping, and they clearly don't really seem to be made for dripping.

But cartomizers do seem to have a place in my vaping life... nice!

Thanks.

I took your suggestion and ordered some, and a 501 tip. Thanks.

Though, I must say, I had an early Prodigy, which I sure liked. But man! Am I glad I have a GLV2!
