Request for a review on Ali'i with VV

Hi all,

If anyone owns a variable voltage ali'l, could you please post a review. I would like to hear what you guys think about it and how you like adjusting the voltage on there.

Anyone? it's 30 bucks more to get the VV option

They are very new, ie less than 1 month old. I have one on order, but I expect a 4 week wait time. Ryan had problems with the heat sink and just finished a redesign.

Yea I think the first VV's only went out this week. There will be reviews soon i'm sure.

I'd also be interested in how the vv works, does it wast the extra volage as heat? How efficient is it?

The VVs havent been shipped yet, but to answer the question on efficiency, yes it wastes the voltage as heat. Ryan was ready to ship them last week, but found a small flaw in the heatsink and has since redesigned it to be more efficient and safer. Hopefully they will ship out sometime this week. when mine gets here, you better believe I'll put it through it's paces and do a review.
