I do hardware reviews. And to be honest with you, I've found that this portion of the vaping populace is small at best.

I do go over the aesthetics, connector type, batts used, etc., but at the same time, people want short, concise, to the point reviews. They, for the most part, don't want to see someone sitting at a cam with a multimeter and a pair of calipers taking measurements off a mod. Thus the vapor. You should know what kind of vapor a batt should be putting out at what voltage by now. That's why I give the essential info, show some vapor, and leave it at that.

What!? You do hardware reviews? How could you say something like this? "...what kind of vapor a batt should be putting out at what voltage...". You either don't understand or you're just exploiting the common misconceptions. Please tell me there is some other reason for saying that?

If a person wants all the EXTRA info, such as voltage drop, then either A) Buy the mod yourself and take such measurements,

ummm, I thought that was the idea of a review.

or B) PM said reviewer and ask them to take the measurements for you.

Somehow I'm just not inspired to PM a reviewer for that kind of information after they've just delivered a review saying "this mod is great, look at the tons of vapor it makes"... Again, I've got to figure A) they don't know, B) I'm not going to trust what they tell me.

I guess what it boils down to (what I figured, but not what I hoped) is all the reviewers are basically just doing infomercials.

Well I do "reviews" / tips / how- to's / and even just staring into the camera.. I will admit I am all over the place and have NO set style, one reason being I am not very organized :p... I also do it for my enjoyment....

I do feel alot have valid points... and if I ever get an urge to put my mug up on YT again.. I will keep these comments in mind....

I do plan on doing a video review/pictorial/texted based review in the near near future.. that I am sure alot of people will be interested in..... I will promise to concentrate the main focus on the product.. since this would be more educational for the entire community and not just something on my opinion...

This thread started with "don't blow vapor in my face" and has progressed to the details of hardware comparisons including but not limited to voltage measurements.

I have enjoyed watching the reviews of juice, how to fill a cart/carto, the different PVs and their performance, and even how to blow smoke rings.

From the reference point of another field that I am considered somewhat of any expert in i.e. photography, cameras, lens, exposure, lighting, developing, printing, digital enhancement, and presentation, it is possible to have so many variables (even using the same brands and models) that it is ludicrous to have any reviews that take into account all the combinations and variables and make any definitive, always true statements about any of it.

Therefore, as far as the vaping reviews go, I take the information as the persons opinion based on their experiences backed up with some visuals for me to interpret. It's all good!

I still do not want vapor blown in my face as proof of anything except, yes, they are vaping and have decent juice and hardware that is working well during the length of time it takes to make the video review.

I totally agree that it would be great to see more women reviewing the juice and hardware.

Omg QUICK1 noooo joke. I've been commenting on stupid reviews that say "ohhh wow this thing vapes like a champ" for months and months now. It's so true. It is NOT the battery that makes a model, it's an atomizer that classifies how well it vapes unless you're talking about voltage. But for all 3.0-3.7 models, the ATOMIZER is what makes it vape better than a different model. Jesus Christ!!!

I hate videos with no talking, those are the worst. Please talk more, a LOT more. I like it when reviewers talk A LOT. I like ummm's and uhhhh's too, lots of them too. And near the end forget what you're doing for a sec, you know with that funny confused shrug, then give us one last vapor cloud, to the side of course.
Oh and you forgot to add that the reviewer should hit the "test ringtone" button in their pocket on their cell phones so the Internet actually thinks they have friends that call them

No, It's not all good really. The vapor thing in this context is deceptive at best. You have to assume the reviewer is either exploiting a common misunderstanding or they're as clueless as the consumers (the ones with the common misunderstanding) that they're blowing smoke at (double entendre intended).

It would be just like reviewing a battery pack for a camera and saying "look how great the pictures come out with this battery pack. Tremendous depth of field and color saturation...". (ok, fine, I don't know much about photography, but enough to draw the analogy)

You are right. The camera analogy works for me.
My statement "It's all good" was meant as more of I appreciate the time and effort that goes into creating each person's review. Hopefully, the next gen of reviews will incorporate the suggestions made here.
I still prefer the written reviews anyway.
