Tonight it hit me, there is a media outlet that has the ear of Millions of listeners Every Night. Coast 2 Coast AM with George Noory!
I've been a listener to this show for over 15 years, and this is the kind of topic that really would get air time. Since I'm a member of their streamiink service, I sent George a personal email tonight requesting his help.
George,
I normally don't get involved much, but there is an issue that is effecting at least 1 million people in the US because of the FDA's blatant misrepresentation of the research.
If you haven't been following the news on Electronic Cigarettes, they have come under the eye of the FDA. They held a news conference on 7/22 during which they release a report they had done back in May of this year. It showed trace amounts of tobacco by products from the nicotine extraction process, as well as 1 sample that had traces of diethylene glycol at less that 1%.
The next morning all the news services where screaming that the electronic cigarette is worse that actual tobacco cigarettes.
That is why I am writing you, I have a listener since the mid 90's and Coast is a voice of reason in a sea of, well can't really use the words I'd like to.
Can you please look into getting Dr. Michael Siegel on the show? He is outspoken on the trend of the anti smoking groups to demonize tobacco users.
You can find out more about this topic and Dr Siegel at The Rest of the Story:

Another source of information on this topic is the Electronic Cigarette Association, which is headed by Matt Salmon, former Republican Congressional Representative from Arizona. Electronic Cigarette Association
Please George, we need your help. I don't want to go back to smoking 2 packs a day, the E-Cigarette has been a god sent to many smokers, but we need our voice heard!
